Plea To End The Violence

Dear Jayapataka Swami,
Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
I am asking you to make a public statement condemning the recent attack
on Radha Prana Prabhu in Malaysia.
Please help stop the violence against the devotees. A statement by you
could be posted on VNN etc. to let the devotees know that this is not
acceptable behavior. We would appreciate your kind cooperation.
I know that you are against the ritvik initiation system, but this is
the system that Srila Prabhupada put in place in ISKCON and it is the
system he asked us to follow after his departure. This information is
on tape and in writing. I also heard him say it with my own ears. To constantly
preach against it is counter-productive to say the least. To preach against
it is to preach against Srila Prabhupada himself! Instead of building
bridges between the devotees are building walls. But walls only last so
long, maybe a lifetime, then the bridge will be rebuilt. I hope this happens
soon for the betterment of ISKCON and each and every one of us.
Can we have a maha Istagosthi Or a small GBC meeting, and try to figure
this great debate out once and for all, for the benefit of one and all?
Isn't that what Srila Prabhupada would want? I hope that even if we can't
agree on all of the details, at least we can agree to disagree, respectfully.
