Attn: BHAKTI CARU SWAMI- 1 Hi Puranjana, Thanks for your newsletter. Did you hear that Kirtananada will be released from prison in May 2004? I met someone who knows him and told me that.
[PADA: Swell, we heard he was attacked in prison for "making a move" on a big huge biker guy. I dunno, that was the rumor. He sort of has a long gray beard nowadays and looks like Moses, or perhaps a character from a wild West movie. Some of his "old pals" are still in charge of New Vrindavana like Kuladri, Tapapunja, Umapati, Radhanatha et al. and it makes you wonder if their plan is: "The Third Reich Shall Rise Again"? Allegedly he has gone a little more insane these days and he is talking more and more new age mish mash, while still thinking he is a big "Krishna guru." Of course, who would still worship a guy like this -- just after he gets out of jail? Some idyoots will still do that, no doubt ... The only good news is that he is a prime example of the illusory energy. After trying to become "the worshipped sum total of the demigods/ Vishnu's pada/ pure devotee," and failing, and going to jail, and being involved in so many crimes and scandals and so on, he probably still thinks, "make a few adjustments, and be back in the saddle again ..." Maybe, but that beard is too phony.]
