Satsvarupa is also one of the main architects, writers, strategists, apologists and vociferous cheerleaders of the post-1977 ISKCON Governing Body Commission's (GBC's) "guru" project. Satsvarupa is said to be one of the main engineers of the 1977 "guru appointment" doctrine: that Srila Prabhupada had "appointed eleven successor gurus." It has been subseqently admitted, even by most of the eleven so-called gurus, that Srila Prabhupada had not appointed even one guru successor, what to speak of eleven. As such, Satsvarupa's "guru appointment" is a deviation and a hoax. The fact is that Srila Prabhupada had only "appointed" a body of administrators and not any successor "pure devotee gurus." In other words, Satsvarupa's party artificially rubber stamped mere "church administrators" as "Jesus like saints," which then resulted in severe chaos all over ISKCON.
