This world is a strange world, indeed. The ways of the Lord are complex to say the least. More strange & more complex are the ways with which people in the dress of devotees deal with each other. As the days are passing by, the game is getting more & more dangerous & out of hand. Sometimes we wonder whether these people are devotees or atheists in the garb of devotees!

Please consider the article: Adri has for quite some time now been screaming thru the internet & lately also thru his IRM newsletters that the GBC has fielded a pedophile for their defence in the court. It seems that he has personal grudge against Satadhanya & he wants to see his end. Hence this halla-balla on his signature in favour of the GBC. While this is understandable, we are surprised at his hypocrisy.

While the activities of IRM remain as gross as earth. Not only that, this notorious pedophile is also the Genenral Manager of ISKCON Calcutta, under the auspicious of Adri!!! To round up historically, under Adri’s management a character called K Mukundan, from South Indian joined the Calcutta temple around 18 years ago. He used to come to the temple daily in torn shirt & pants before he joined fulltime & used to get paid a meager sum of approximately Rs.10 by Satadhanya for doing some typing work.

His shirts & pants were filthy & dirty blackish, it was specially black marked at the neck region where he used to put a handkerchief to cover his black dirt. Anyway, later on he went on to become Mahajan Das after taking initiation from JPS. He is none other than the famous Mahajan Das, a disciple of HH Jayapataka Swami. Of course, Mahajan has rejected JPS now & is the ONLY signer for IRG in the famous law suit filed in the Calcutta High Court by Adri to FORCEFULLY keep Srila Prabhupada as the only disksa guru of ISKCON. Or is it only to save his position as the Temple President so that he can control ISKCON assets???

One of the local members when heard this, fondly remembered Mahajan’s preaching to someone, "I am this body & not the spirit soul!!" This Mahajan is the same person who made laxmi for self by stitching & selling blouses to a mataji who came to stay in Mona Lisa building in which a flat has been given to ISKCON Calcutta for preaching purposes. It is reported that the flat is being used for commercial purposes now, like for renting to the devotees who want to go to Mayapur or want to spend a night or two in Calcutta before proceeding to other destinations. Anyway, who cares, or more so, who dares because Mahajan has Adri’s protection?

If someone takes the pain to find out about Mahajan’s actual character, it is very easy to come to conclusion that apart from being a notorious pedophile, Mahajan is equally popular as a notorious thief amongst the temple devotees, especially amongst the life membership devotees & also amongst the Life members!!! It is commonly known in Adri’s temple amongst his own temple devotees that Mahajan knows all of Adri’s weaknesses & faults, hence Adri is always protecting Mahajan inspite of clear proofs of Mahajan’s guilt. We request the supporters of ritvik to make it a point that they should not be defended by a notorious pedophile & a thief as such. Playing around with ISKCON money means playing around with Srila Prabhupada’s blood! How could such a person be the signer for IRG???

Ritvik supporters should voice their opinion against this act of Adri & should question Adri about this move of his & Mahajan’s credibility. Not only that, Adri should immediately take off Mahajan’s position at least on moral grounds until his abuse case has been dealt with & also unless he comes out clean & transparent with his money dealings. Someone should go & do a sort of spot enquiry or interview the local devotees about their feelings regarding their leadership. Much better will be to do a confidential poll survey amongst the local devotees & then ask their feelings, because if openly done they might not speak the truth out of fear of bullying tactics by Adri. Not all are equally courageous or revolutionary.

Mahajan’s victim, a gurukuli, has suffered tremendously both mentally & physically due to Mahajan’s torcher. It has been reported that one of the places where Mahajan torchered his victim is the same place where Adri is staying at present with his wonderdul ‘Krishna conscious’ family. It’s the first floor of Vrindavan Apartments in Calcutta, the city of the appearance of Srila Prabhupada.

Investigations have revealed that Mahajan used to torture him unless he gave in & conceded to his requests of massaging, caressing & having anal sex. So much so that he won’t let him eat anything unless he could satisfy Mahajan to his full satisfaction!! This Mahajan is the same person who used to work in a pan shop before joining ISKCON & used to come to the temple & do typing work for Satadhanya for a meager amount of 10 bucks or so. Reliable but unconfirmed sources reveal that he had also been the darwan (gatekeeper) for Adri in Wood Street flat for some time.

We could go on & on here about Mahajan, but before we go on a rampage, we would like to give Adri a chance to answer & clear himself. The victim of Mahajan is afraid to come out in the open because of shame. But he is ready to reveal everything to a select group of people whom he can put his faith on for some justice. We hereby request concerned parties to investigate this & also request Adri to remove Mahajan from any managerial position he may occupy in his temple. Since Mahajan is directly under Adri, we hope Adri will not loose a single second to take the necessary steps & keep clean people in the position of leadership to inspire the general devotees in Krishna consciousness.

We hereby request the devotees not to contact us to get the name of the victim. We request that they should inform about this to Turley firm which is handling the child abuse case in ISKCON. Those lawyers should contact us for any details. We are ready to help only the lawyers of that firm in every way we can. As far as Adri is concerned, he would give himself a facelift, if he could do the following immediately:

1. Withdraw Mahajan from the IRG case immediately.
2. Get Mahajan to accept his fault with full detailed description with an apology letter to the firm which should be addressed to the victim.
3. Remove him from all managerial positions in his temple.
4. Should change his service to that of cleaning & washing in the temple.
5. Make it compulsory for Mahajan to attend all the temple programs from morning to evening.

Just like for Satadhanya the Mayapur administration & also the GBC as a whole body was held responsible & Adri gave headlines with the GBC fielding Satadhanya, similarly, we feel Adri is more responsible for Mahajan, because he is serving directly under him. Let’s see what Adri has in store for Mahajan. Maybe he is not so convinced in his heart of heart about the ritvik issue, hence such a desperate move! We can’t blame him, after all Adri is not a philosopher.

2) RE: NARAYANA MAHARAJA JOINS PADA!

FWD to pada: Recently Narayana Maharaj spoke to the parent of an abused gurukula child and pointed out that the that abuse took place was also a reaction for those children. Personally I can't see anything wrong with that, things happen to us because of past misdeeds. Srila Narayana maharaja said that it was karma, but in the same time the criminals who performed these actions had to go to hell for it.

[PADA: Excellent point. The persons who orchestrated the chid abuse are "criminals who will go to hell." That means Narayana Maharaja is finally admitiing, perhaps for the first time in public, that the people he originally claimed are "diksha gurus," i.e. Vishnupadas, parampara members, Krishna's successors, "sin absorbing saints like Jesus" (i.e. ksha in diksha) are in reality: criminal demons. In sum, he admits that he has goofed. Big time. Good! He has finally come up to the point of agreeing with pada! Worse, he has said all along that these criminals are not merely minor "priests," but that these criminals, even butt pirates, and their lineage advocates, are diksha guru acharyas (like Lord Chaitanya is an acharya?)! This is way past mere goofiness, it is highly offensive. So he is finally admitting that his former view is offensive too. Good! Thanks maharaja! It is about time! We have been waiting since 1986 for you to change on this!

Narayana Maharaja's history in sum: In 1978 the GBC claimed that homosexual pedophiles are gurus, Krishna's successors (etc.) and this naturally created massive webs and infrastructures of molestation. And then this maha unauthorized, homosexual pedophile pooja mess was supported, backed, and philosophically propped-up by various members of the Gaudiy Martha as a "bona fide guru lineage" including NM. This gave crucial underpinning to the molester infrastructure, and indeed some of the GBC's cheerleader papers were actually spoken and presented by various Gaudiya Matha leaders even up to 1990, especially by NM. So all of those involved are implicated in the molestation infrastructure by-product, even NM, as he now agrees, he supported criminals as mahabhagavata acharyas and diksha gurus like Srila Prabhupada.

Just like when a cow is killed. All these parties are guilty: the person who raises it; the person who transports it; the person who sells it at the cattle auction; the person who slaughters it; the person who cooks it; and finally, the person who eats it. All are equally guilty of conspiracy to murder. So, all of those who empowered the GBC's molester-con homosexual pedophile guru project are responsible for the ensuing molestation problem. Indeed, those of us who tried to protest the molester empire recieved constant criticisms from the Sridhara and Narayana Maharaja types at every step. And this translated into death threats from the GBC clones. The Gaudiya Matha has acted as the backers of these homosexual and murderer gurus, which is no surprize, since they backed another homosexual and murderer guru project starting in 1936.]

3) ABOUT GURUKULAS

Actually Puru, I was never a teacher in the Vrindavan Gurukula. I was supposed to be, at a certain time, assistant GBC to Jagadish for all Indian gurukulas, but that did not last very long as I left Iskcon. My main problem at the time was devising an English course for non-English speaking students. I knew Dhanurdhara then. Indeed, I knew him in Dallas when he was kidnapped and all. But I never really discussed in depth any of these matters with him.

It is very hard for me to explain what went on. There are two aspects to the problem: physical abuse and sexual abuse. They are no doubt related on one level, but physical abuse was visible, sexual abuse not. So I will briefly discuss each of them separately.

Physical abuse was a result of the overarching theme of discipline. I believe that one of the reasons many people joined Iskcon was to find a milieu in which to lead a regulated or disciplined life. They could have chosen the army, but they wanted something a little more spiritual.

The Gurukulas were an extension of this idea of discipline: avyartha-kAlatvam. Not a minute was to be wasted. This meant that, in the beginning, even playing was discouraged. The children were expected to be little adults: Prabhupada had given the order that they were to follow exactly the same program as the adults -- japa, arati, etc.

Most of the teachers themselves were having difficulty following this schedule. (I myself remember sneaking off in the middle of class to take a nap after lunch in Dallas.) So how could they expect children, whose rest and leisure needs are greater, to find it easy. A third element to consider is that most of the adults at this time had probably been brought up in a culture where some degree of violence in the academic milieu was accepted. I myself was strapped several times in high school. Furthermore, Indians themselves accepted it as part of the educational culture.

In my later days in Mayapura, I had come to the point where tried to control violence by formalizing it in ostentatious displays of caning. This is all very disgusting to reflect on, but I am simply telling you what we were doing. We should bear in mind that the attitude of Western society to corporal punishment has changed considerably over the past 25 years. That is a good thing.

Of course, Prabhupada never approved of corporal punishment, so there was really no excuse on that score. I have less to say about sexual abuse. Looking back on it, I really can't see how I missed all the signs. It seems incredible that I could have been as naive as I was, but that is the truth.

Only in my last year or so as head of the Mayapur Gurukula did I become aware of the problem. When I did, it seemed like a cloudburst, everyone was accused, everyone was suspect. I could barely believe it. By this time I had become more interested in bhajan and study than in the Gurukula and Bhavananda and others seemed eager to reduce my involvement in the school, sending me to preach. I was probably seen as one of those honest and stupid people who might become dangerous.

I think I should say here that a general consciousness of sexual abuse is also a fairly recent development in Western society. It would never have been considered acceptable in any era, though it almost certainly existed, but would not have been considered with quite the same horror as we do now. It is absolutely necessary to keep this in mind.

Reasons for it all? I think the above shows that: (1) There was a general innocence about the sexual abuse problem until it had become quite widespread and therefore no steps taken toward preventing the problem. I cannot speak about what happened after 1979, but it seems that once the problem was known, no meaningful steps were taken for too long. In Mayapur, at least, the leadership seems to have been actively participating in the sexual abuse of children.

(2) Corporal punishment was considered a part of educational culture and an extension of the discipline that was necessary for human and spiritual life. Nevertheless, it was not properly controlled. An absolute ban on corporal punishment was never considered. However, those subject to the pressures of ashram life and long hours of herding children around and trying to teach tired and unenlivened students, often lost their tempers.

We should have been more careful to control these character flaws in teachers. It would have been necessary, as has often been said since then, to find more qualified teachers. That is not saying much, but it is saying a lot. Just because someone has been chanting his rounds for three months does not make him a good teacher. He should be materially qualified also.

Anyway, no more time for this today.

4) SUHOTRA UPDATE

Yes, excellent expose on Suhotra, and all the things Ekatma has mentioned, other devotees have witnessed, too. To this long and embarassing record of Suhotra's crimes and blunders devotees could ad few more hard facts:

-He's constantly into 'study' of the occult, dark 'sciences';

-He's been literary thrown out of Bali, by Kavicandra swami, because of long 'association' with lady-dancer and her very young daughters; after that he miraculously received sannyas - from another blooper, Harikesha; -Suhotra's overcollecting money and goods (drives in Mercedes van/camper worth around 40.000,- dollars) and regularly - overeating (guy has probably 250 pounds or more);

-Many sincere Vaishnavas across the Europe witnessed first-hand Suhotra-led beatings/ harrasment/ bans and character assassination of the devotees who questioned Suhotra's false guruship and/or his/his henchmen's bogus non-spiritual agendas;

-Chanting 16 rounds per day? Hardly. There's no one to find around who can confirm he has seen Suhotra chanting more than 30-45 minutes along with other witnesses, and this also performed once in a while; even his disciples are reluctant to confirm him chanting prescribed number of rounds;

-He takes, almost daily, very long and lone 'meditation walks downtown', dressed as karmi, oftenly right through the most obnoxious red-light districts, officially under exuse of 'purifying these areas by his presence/"chanting"'

-Although Suhotra claims to be 'empowered acharya equal to other stalwarts in Guru Parampara', no one has ever seen the results of his 'pure preaching to the intelligent class', ie student programs, from which no one ever joined, even after so many years;

-He's spent enormous money (hard-collected sankirtana collections) printing his own books, which are nothing less than speculative, quasi-spiritual all-in mixtures of impersonalism, occult, and dry, neophite-like, twisted realisations of what he thinks be a 'Krishna consciousness';

-He's invariably very crude, heavy, abusive and offensive towards intelligent devotees who love Prabhupada beyond anything else and dare to say that, too;

-He's requesting his blindo 'disciples' to cook very fancy, expensive preparations for him, and most of the time, after cooking, bhoga is NOT offered to Prabhupada and Krishna, but it's directly rushed to Suhotra's room; when asked what's up, his disciples explained: "well, he's so hungry he can't wait for our impure offering, so he want us to bring the bhoga to him, and there, alone in his room, he offers it himself - purely".

Purely... - ...rat's ass. His blunders are getting exposed. Due to Suhotra's 'purity' many sincere Vaishnavas were forced to leave Prabhupada's house to never return again, disgusted with mediaval-type of harrasment and enmity exhibited by this very violent, crazy, puffed up and envious 'guru'. This is very truth about his real 'qualities'. This guy is a hell proud bozo, almost like Jayadvaita moron. Vaishnava-aparadhas have driven Suhotra to the state of bloop, but he still exists as so-called 'high-ranked Iskcon guru authority' just because some other GBCs seemingly blackmailed him to 'not run away but to stay around and support them in the days of crisis', otherwise they'll have to expose his crap-'guruship'...However, after all the incriminated facts were presented before GBC, they still keep him as 'worshipped guru', and they send him to lecture and collect around the naive Europe, just as - nothing ever happened...
