Dear folks, PAMHO. AGTSP.
[PADA is an online newsletter going out to over 1,000 devotees and Hindu's. Please let us know if you have comments, or if you are not interested. We try our best to keep our mailing list in order. Jai Srila Prabhupada!]
Please let us know if you wish to add other addresses or cancel your subscription. PADA also may or may not endorse all of the statements found in our featured letters.
ALSO the names of the GBC as well as accounts of their activities are sometimes unverified at this point, we are merely allowing readers to express their experiences, and we encourage others, including those named, to feedback. Comments / corrections on the history section are also encouraged...
================================
Persons in INDIA wanted to know the case and file number of the IRM v. GBC suit,
which court it is in and so on.
Anyone who can give details?
================================
Sriman Puranjan Prabhu:
PAMHO, AGTSP, and Hare Krishna. Thank you for your "multiple personality
as good as God acharya" article. These GBC clones are certainly bewildered
crooks. Some of them have gone insane, some of them are terrible sick. They
will destroy each other in due time.

1) RE: THE IRM
A few people have wrote to us complaining that we are "attacking the ISKCON Reform Movement." What? No, this is impossible since we are one of the 1980 originators of the kernal IRM idea: that Srila Prabhupada and his lineage of gurus must be worshipped as our acharyas, and not the homosexual pedophile guru lineage of the GBC. Why would we: attack ourselves?
The self-appointed "ISKCON reform leaders" are another thing. For example, many years ago Krishna Kanta told us that he liked our idea after he studied our literatures, talked to us on the phone to hone his ideas, and he had other personal exchanges and discussions with us before he later on came out with his book "The Final Order," which borrows heavily from our ideas and writings. Maybe 90% or more of his quotes are lifted from our documents and from personal exchanges with us. Then all of a sudden, Krishna Kanta said in Malaysia that he wanted to declare war on pada and to simultaneously self-appoint Adri as the official "head leader" of the reform, forcing people to sign declarations of allegience to Adri.
In other words, we originated the idea, they apparently wanted to hijack the idea and then they claimed to be the originators of the idea. Of course, this always happens in this world. Everyday the courts are clogged up with lawsuits of people saying thing like, "We invented the six-shooter revolver pistol first, in the year 2000." No sir, it was invented by Mr. Colt in 1865. Vahi bhat-ology. Worse, all of this hijacking took place without ever consulting the pioneer devoteess already involved with the reform since 1980, and in sum without consulting the body of reform already in motion.
So now, if the self-appointed head of the reform, Adri, is going to be declared as even our head leader, as a person to whom we must all sign an oath of allegience, then he will be scrutinized very heavily. This is normal. Just like if I walk down the street to the local roller skating rink and say, "I am the new head of the North Bay Tiger Team's Skate Club, all of you must sign an oath of allegience to me," people will say, "Hmmmm, maybe, but can you skate first of all"? And do we want to be aligned with CHAKRA as Adri finally admitted he still is on the key issue, the root of the takeover? And do we want to have as our headquarters a temple full of Jayapataka-ites, like Calcutta is reported to be? I duuno, we were never consulted on these issues? We just have to sign on the dotted line of allegience here? Ummm hmmmm. And now there are reports there are molester afoot in Calcutta as well, and that a house cleaning has not even begun there?
On the other hand if we had followed pada's idea, a loose-knit cooperative effort, instead of one or two big honchos calling all the shots, then none of us would face such scrutiny. This is the model Srila Prabhupada wanted, cooperation. He never wanted that all of the devotees would have to sign an "oath of allegience" to one person, which sounds somewhat like the 1972 GBC umbrella corporation idea meant to place control in the hands of a few. Srila Prabhupada disliked this idea, so much so, that he disabanded the GBC on the spot. So the "reform" has to be more thorough.
Now, if Adri is our self-appointed or de facto head leader, and Calcutta is thus our de facto headquarters, then we are going to have to scrutinize what is going on at our so-called headquarters. According to various reports, that place is still filled up with Jayapataka-ites and not so-called ritviks, although there are a few ritviks there. And as we all know, the Jayapataka-ites tend to breed the criminal and molester types. For example, the worst thugs in Los Angeles are Jayapataka's clones, and this is known to all of us. Molestation also went on under Jayapataka's watch in Mayapura all along. His farms are falling apart. The Atlanta temple is a mess. And he still has Satadhanya, Dhanurdara, Bhavananada and similar other child abuser/ molester-ite deviants underfoot. Incriminating whispers attributed to Jayapataka are found on the poison tape, and so on ad infinitum. Of course this means that if Adri was serious about clearing this up more completely he'd launch a criminal civil case for the molesting, poisoning etc. and not attempt only a cosmetic or corporate makeover case which allows the criminals to drag on indefinately, although to Adri's credit, some change is better than no change in this regard.
In any event, we think it is a good idea to look at the whole situation. If there are molesters in our own so-called Calcutta headquaters, as has been alleged, we need to know how that developed, how this is being allowed, and so on. To sum, if there is going to be a reform it is going to have to be open and threadbare. We cannot get rid of two thousand cockroaches and say, well we are just going to leave behind fifty cockroaches because we got most of them. No, we need to get rid of all of them, otherwise the fifty cockroaches multiply back into another mess.
Also, an IRM member told our associate that the Montreal preaching effort is
bogus because all of the devotees are not living in the temple. This is what
Tamal said in 1976, and Srila Prabhupada had to stomp his boots on that bogus
idea as well. Of course, since we were once told to watch our behind in the
shower (i.e. from homosexual aggressors) and to watch out for a molester --at
a so-called temple, why are we all supposed to flock to these temples? Let us
clean up these temples first of all? Right now I do not live in a temple, agreed,
but then again, I do not have to watch my butt in the shower either? Wake up
dudes, our idea is not Tamal's old bricks and stones argument. In sum, one can
live in a temple and be a dangerous snake, or one can live outside the temple
and be a harmless, albeit noisy, fox terrier like pada. You can tell Yama that
you lived in the temple, and he will say, yes, that and fifty cents will buy
you a soda. So these are some of the issues that need to be clarified further.
thanks pd

2) NEW YORK TEMPLE UPDATE
Dear Prabhus, All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Please accept our obeisances.
The temple of Prabhupada Sankirtan Society in New York has been nicely situated on Ave . B only two blocks from Tompkins Square Park. Our storefront location is residing in a vicinity of the Lower Eastside which is becoming increasingly more of a "happening" place. As the neighborhood has been upscaling Avenue B is becoming more and more of a center of attraction. The flow of people is increasing and we also have a bus stop ritght at our front door picking up and dropping people off every fifteen minutes all day. Srila Prabhupada said it is very good to have a bus stop right in front of the temple.
He also stated that it is very good for devotees to remain in the crowded city areas to preach. Srila Prabhupada is blessing us with expanded facility as we will now be moving into the storefront next door and opening The Hare Krishna Store. The space has until now been occupied by Blackout Books, an anarchy bookstore for youths. One neighborhood lady recently told us she had a dream that we took over the entire block and everything was Krishna Consciousness. Another neighbor also said in sort of a joking but also believing way. We'll put a Krishna library on the corner, a rooftop restaurant up here, a garden over there, take over the block and hey.....alleluia !"
Well just a couple days later Kapindra Maharaja happened to be at the landlord's signing the lease for next door. The Hare Krishna store will be filled all kinds of Krishna Consciouss goodies like books, tapes, cd's, prasadam, incense, t-shirts, ayurvedic products, etc. It is intersting that the space will be transformed from a place promoting no authority to a place promoting the Supreme authority. The neighborhood has yet to be completely transformed into Vaikuntha but it's well on it's way.
Devotees who would like to consider temple life with fulltime engagements are
welcome to come visit and experience the daily sadhana program and preaching
activities. All devotees are welcome to come visit and glorify Srila Prabhupada
with us. Hare Krishna
Your servant Madhavananda das.

3) CHILD ABUSER ON CARPET
[PADA would like to applaud these seedling efforts to control abuse in ISKCON. We think this is just the beginning of what will be required in our ISKCON society, to make a protective panel to monitor and indeed ensure the protection of our women and children, without which, there is not even cat and dog society says Srila Prabhupada. So, this is going in the right direction. Remember, some of you GBC leaders and parental idiots out there, you may take birth in this movement in the future, so you just might be looking after your own interests if nothing else will motivate you here....]
--------------
The ICOCP has corresponded with Mahamantra dasa, and he has had full opportunity to respond to all accusations made against him that have been received by the ICOCP. Full documentation of this case, including all the responses of Mahamantra dasa, is on file with the ICOCP.
Based on the evidence described above this panel of the ICOCP has determined that Mahamantra dasa is culpable for child neglect, especially emotional neglect, and also neglecting to provide reasonably hazard-free shelter and appropriate medical care. Additionally, Mahamantra dasa physically and psychologically abused children under his care, and he also engaged in voyeurism. Further evidence presented to this panel shows that Mahamantra severely mistreated his wife and that this was witnessed by the children, adding to the atmosphere of terror and intimidation in which they lived.
Based on the evidence described above, this adjudicatory panel of the ICOCP has determined that Mahamantra dasa should have no connection with ISKCON or ISKCON-affiliated projects for 2 years from the date of this Official Decision. During this time he may not visit ISKCON property, or the property of projects affiliated with ISKCON, or attend programs connected with ISKCON or ISKCON-affiliated projects. After that time he may apply to reestablish connection with ISKCON. His application will be considered if he complies with the following:
1) He must undergo a psychological evaluation that focuses on his potential danger to children. The evaluator must be pre-approved by the ICOCP.
2) He must comply with recommendations for ongoing mental health therapy given in the psychological report and by the ICOCP. If Mahamantra dasa has already participated in any sort of mental health therapy, and if he can suitably document this, then this endeavor on his part will be considered toward the fulfillment of this condition. We want to emphasize, however, that these conditions for psychological evaluation and counseling require extensive internal, therapeutic work on the part of Mahamantra in order to be satisfied. That is, a few weeks or months of therapy will not satisfy these conditions. Mahamantra needs to undergo extended therapy with a mental health professional experienced in dealing with abuse issues. This panel believes that Mahamantra dasa has serious problems that pose a threat to children under his care. We strongly encourage Mahamantra dasa to comply with these conditions, for the good of himself and those with whom he associates.
3) Mahamantra dasa must fully cooperate with all governmental investigations into accusations of misconduct on his part.
4) He must write apology letters to his child abuse victims. In these letters he must fully acknowledge his transgressions of child abuse, and he must take full responsibility for those actions. Also, he must express appropriate remorse, and offer to make amends to the victims. This letter should be sent to the ICOCP, not directly to the victims.
5) He must pay restitution to the victims, in an amount that he can negotiate in consultation with his former wife and the ICOCP.
6) He must contribute at least $5,000 to an organization that serves Vaisnava youth, such as Children of Krishna, the ISKCON Central Office of Child Protection, or a gurukula approved by the ICOCP.
If Mahamantra dasa complies with the six items described above, then the ICOCP will consider his application for reinstatement. If he is reinstated, then his relationship with ISKCON must be restricted as follows:
7) Mahamantra dasa cannot reside overnight on ISKCON property or on the property of an organization affiliated with ISKCON.
8) Mahamantra dasa cannot lead kirtanas or give class at an ISKCON temple or at an ISKCON function, or at any function of an organization affiliated with ISKCON.
9) Mahamantra dasa cannot perform any service for ISKCON or an ISKCON-affiliated organization that involves association with children (A child is defined as a person under 18 years of age).
10) Mahamantra dasa must show this document to the temple president or facility manager of any ISKCON temple or project that he visits, and obtain a signed statement that the president or manager has read this decision. Mahamantra dasa must send the signed copy of the decision to ICOCP.
11) Mahamantra dasa cannot visit ISKCON property or attend an ISKCON function if his child abuse victims or their family members are present, unless, uncoerced and without manipulation, they give their consent.
12) Mahamantra dasa is not permitted to hold any positions in the ISKCON organization, or in any organization affiliated with ISKCON.
13) If Mahamantra dasa violates any of the dictates of this Official Decision, then he can have no association with ISKCON temples or projects until his case is reviewed by the ICOCP. This ban means that he cannot enter ISKCON property or the property of any organization affiliated with ISKCON.
These judgments constitute the minimum restrictions that an ISKCON organization may place on Mahamantra dasa. Any specific ISKCON organization may choose to invoke more stringent restrictions.
If any of the accusations of child abuse against Mahamantra dasa are adjudicated by a governmental legal process, the ICOCP will accept the result of that adjudication, and this Official Decision may be adjusted accordingly.
In the course of this investigation the ICOCP received many allegations of spousal abuse against Mahamantra dasa. These accusations were dealt with in this Official Decision to the extent that they related to psychological child abuse and emotional child neglect. The ICOCP offers its assistance in investigative and adjudicatory procedures to any ISKCON entity that addresses the spousal abuse allegations against Mahamantra dasa. The ICOCP herein emphasizes that it is of great importance to the integrity of the society that such transgressions are investigated and resolved. In this instance it is clear that the safety net of the ISKCON society was very inadequate in caring for and listening to the former family members of Mahamantra dasa.
According to the ISKCON Child Protection Task Force Report, Section 5, in cases where an allegation(s) of child abuse are determined to be valid, the accused may appeal the Official Decision to the GBC Executive Committee and the ISKCON Minister of Justice within one month of the date of this decision. The Official Decision described in this document is effective immediately, and the perpetrator must abide by its guidelines during the appeal process, should he choose to appeal this decision.
Judges serving on this case were: Nanda dasi, Laxmimoni dasi, and Mathuresa dasa. The Case Manager for this case was Dhira Govinda dasa. The Director of ICOCP at the time of this Official Decision was Dhira Govinda dasa.
