A Hindu friend has just informed me that following a programme on prime-time British tv on the upcoming US lawsuit, graphically featuring the crimes within the Hare Krishna movement- Srila Prabhupada in one scene was apparently depicted with eyes closed, allegedly 'listening to music', seemingly unconcerned, whilst child abuse etc. was being perpetrated in his organisation. And this was the theme of the programme.

Afterwards this lady was asked by someone about this and whether she considered that Srila Prabhupada was really to blame. She defended Prabhupada very nicely to him, and has subsequently asked if I might provide further evidence of his non-involvement. In view of this, and much more that lies ahead, I suggest that Prabhupadanugas begin compiling all the evidence they can access through the database, or books etc., wherein Prabhupada states his wishes with regard to how the the movement should be run, and as I have done - condense some of the information down into a convenient, easy-to-read leaflet, or booklet to be photo-copied and handed-out as necessary. We certainly need to be 'clued-up' enough to be able to come to our spiritual master's defence as and when necessary in the coming times, and in this way the message will spread and people will become informed of the truth.

[PADA: Yes, we have always wanted to gather some folks together to make some type of conjointly produced counter propaganda to the GBC in an organized manner. We have wanted this for many years but it has not occured for whatever reasons. A normal Church does not allow a lot of bad publicity to be generated by its bogus leaders, and as such, they nip it in the bud if there are problems. Whereas in ISKCON, major media has always blared all kinds of horrific scandals since 1979 without much real effort to counter it. As Mahavegavati pointed out, this occured because many of the devotees (and we would say also their Gaudiya Matha advisors) were marching in the GBC's zombie band. This is another reason many of the ex-gurukulis are also so upset, they see that their parents are still in support or sympathy of the GBC regime and in sum, a sector of the parents are STILL reluctant to call a spade a spade.

And whenever we asked people, like the senior devotees, other parents, Gaudiya Matha folks, even Gaura Govinda Maharaja and others to assist us in calling a spade a spade, they could not or would not. And so the illusory "acharyas, gurus, GBC, and management" (a contradiction itself, how can the absolute guru be a relativised manager: so let us call it mangle-ment) has gone on virtually unchecked. OK, except from time to time the media and the police expose them and arrest some of their crooks, and so on. Otherwise little has been done to practically contain this hydra snake monster. And now that a teeny portion of the countless GBC crimes has fallen into the lap of Mr. Turley, there is not much sympathy for the victims still --even at this stage when we know that these children were severely victimized. Worse, instead, some are still saying the victims are demons and so on. And all of this means that many of the ex-gurukulis will be will be resisting all the more, and further dividing a possible coalition of gathering at least some more of the disgruntled....

Some devotees have told us that the Turley case is happening too early and we still need to "wait until we can get something else together," not realizing that in law there is something called the statute of limitations? In other words many devotees seem to have not got a clue what law is all about, and of course this is why many people cannot help us or the gurukulis organize anything together. We said that a lawsuit was required starting in 1980, and the year 2000 is "too soon"? So Mahavegavti is correct, people waited too long and thus de facto if not directly defended the bad guys.

We had actually planned to use someone like Mukunda's abilities with the folio to make a chronological booklet of important points from the letters. Yet, he all of a sudden also said that no one should quote Srila Prabhupada's letters in this hour of need, just like the GBC has said all along? So, some of our so-called allies, instead of focusing on writing a good document on this topic, took to blaming us for the whole affair, and worse they even tried to suppress Srila Prabhupada's letters, and in sum they are trying in every manner to disrupt any attempt at organized counter efforts, which of course benefits only the GBC and the other detractors of ISKCON. Oddly, Mukunda (Oldham) now says that anyone who blasphemes the Prabhupada devotees like Mahavegavati is destined to be a worm, so now he says he has simply used the past year of his life to establish that: he is a worm? OK good, but how does that effect or organize anything in real life or help the situation?

Even Adri had said that we should attack pada and instead quote from Tamal's disciples on CHAKRA, but now he says that CHAKRA is bogus and Tamal's followers (ie the persons he was previously using to counter pada) are all enemies of Srila Prabhupada. Again, this lack of unity is what beneifits the GBC. So the "reform effort" is just as much able to sabatoge itself, and shoot itself in the foot, and even threaten each other and so on, as the GBC. And thus the reason that the GBC and detractors, if not out of control medias (which is not new: this has been going on since 1979) go ahead is: no organized methods can be establsihed to counter them effectively. Of course, no one can say we did not at least try.

And when we said that the Turley lawsuit was lesser because it had not linked Srila Prabhupada to a thousand other crimes that he could have been linked to, then we were almost violently assaulted for being glad that some of the ex-gurukuli's statements were not as bad as they could have been? So, when we are happy for Srila Prabhupada, for a lesser attack on him than what could have been, our allies hate that and they are then threatening to kill us. No wonder then there is no organized opposition. Either that, or some of the people in the so-called reform have still got some sympathy for some of the GBC and they do not want an organized counter effort?

Anyway! Eventually there will be an organized counter effort, but it will just take time, and learning from mistakes, such as we are making now. The main persons trying to organize some counter quotes together right now is Yadavendu dasa. We do not have the folio on our computer right now, or the time (we are working full time) to make a larger document right now. This should have been done as a joint effort, and it could have been produced already. Thanks for the input, pd]

Prabhupada: We don't say there is no sex life. Sex life is there. But married, simply for begetting children. Otherwise, no sex life. Not for sense gratification. If these things go on... In New York there is a yogi. I do not wish to name his... But in the paper it was published that he was having sex with his disciple. Is it not? Nitai: Yes. Prabhupada: Yes, everyone knows. What is this? (laughing) Even from moral point of view, a disciple is just like daughter. And this man was having sex life with his disciple. And he's a yogi. Just see. Even he has no moral sense, apart from spiritual knowledge. According to human social constitution, one should not have sex life with daughter, with mother and sister. And what is this? If one has sex life with daughter, then where is the moral life?

ISKCON members should therefore avoid collecting, reading, discussing, or distributing such literature."

[PADA: Yep, and who started the stampede to send everyone over to get rasika books? The GBC.]

4) Direction of management

Dear Puranjana Prabhuji

Hari Bol Great Soul. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I hope every thing is alright with you. Thank you very much for your last newsletter. The GBCs are getting desperate now it seems. With their bogus guru fugitive Jayapotato Swami on the run, they try in a last desperate move to kick out Adridharana and take over the Calcutta Temple, in a bit of regaining some control of the headless society, not even shrinking back from causing a bloodbath by killing devotees.

With this action of theirs, they declared an all out war to all sincere devotees. Actually every temple, all over the world, should kick out these false iscon gbc/guroos, demons disguised as devotees. Their time is over already. They only did not realize it yet.

The Pandavas where banned and had to wait for 13 years before justice took place. Similarly we also had to wait for 23 years (Kali-Yuga). Now is the time for these devotee/guru killers to get their Karma returned. We will no longer be bullied by them, but we will fight back, till Prabhupadas House is cleaned of these cockroaches. Yes and we will hire licensed gunman for our protection too. We are no longer afraid. And the Turley case, as well as Calcutta case will help to end their tyranny as well. And as we speak other court cases are being prepared right now.

All these false guru successors deserved to be impeached by the general devotee congregation, but either the devotees do not know Prabhupadas Direction Of Management (DOM), or they are so week or bribed not to jeopardize their given rice bowl. As you know I have send a letter to VNN addressed to all devotees world wide, in order to educate them about their constitutional rights to impeach and replace these bogus GBC/Guru leaders.

When I send my letter to VNN for publishing, I did not really think they would publish it, because it was quite controversial. In fact they initially did not published it right away. I requested them two times for publishing it and than I gave up, because there was no reaction. So I have been completely surprised when later on, I suddenly discovered it on their homepage. Really far out. That is Prabhupadas mercy and Krishnas arrangement. I still have to thank them for publishing it. Now I don't know what reaction I will get, (probably be killed; banned, beaten and shot I have been already), but how ever, Harinamdas in the mean time got tons of emails from devotees all over the world requesting Prabhupadas Direction of Management (DOM).

So that is a good preaching also, considering that the devotees visiting the VNN homepage are quite a lot. According to VNNs own account, they had yesterday a total of 37,972 hits just in one day.

Direction Of Management For An Elected GBC

To all Iskcon devotees world wide temple-presidents, Sannyasis

Dear maharajas, prabhus, matas and didis. Please accept my respectful obeisances. All Glories To Srila Prabhupada.

As an initiated disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and as a member of the International Society for Krishna consciousness, I herewith call upon all devotees world wide to reject Iskcons bogus GBC/Guru leadership and elect a new Governing Body Commission as outlined by Srila Prabhupada in his DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT FOR AN ELECTED GBC.

He created the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT, which was signed, witnessed and notarized. This document created the GBC, and gave the EXACT DIRECTION AS TO HOW THE GBC SHOULD ACT ...Importanly, the GBC was to be ELECTED FROM THE BODY OF TEMPLE PRESIDENTS. The Temple presidents were instructed to hold elections every three years, and either re-elect existing GBC members, or elect new ones from a ballot of candidates chosen from the body of Temple Presidents.

Srila Prabhupada also wrote several letters stating that the temple presidents were to be elected by vote by the congregations of the individual temples, and that the GBC would have practically no AUTHORITY over the individual temples.

The devotees who live in ISKCON temples should be educated so that they understand the full extent of their constitutional powers. By the constitution of the ISKCON temple corporations, the members have the legal right to elect a new leadership. This is a little-known fact, but it is a law.

They also have the right to vote to impeach that leadership if they lose their qualification as leaders. Legally, they have voted to accept the appointed leaders by failing to vote them out. That is, unless the members assert their right to vote it is assumed they wish to follow the appointed system.

Because the GBC assumed dictatorial powers NOT PROVIDED in the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT, they were in a position to "cover up" crimes committed by each other, and to terrorize the temple presidents by threatening to "kick them out" for insubordination. Since they were not authorized to do either of the above, we can see that their pattern of abuse followed the typical pattern of abuse in "rogue states" and other dictatorships and oligarchies that ARE NOT ANSWERABLE TO THE PUBLIC. It would have been almost impossible for the molestations of the children in the Gurukulas to have taken place if Srila Prabhupada's DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT had been followed.

The only thing that can be said in our (congregational member's) favour is that the GBC VERY CAREFULLY HID THE TEXT OF THE DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT UNTIL THE 1990'S. (Over twenty years!) So that NO CONGREGATIONAL MEMBER OF ISKCON REALIZED TO WHAT DEGREE THEY WERE (AND SITLL ARE) BEING RIPPED OFF!

The devotees should assert their rights under the law, at least in the United States, and immediately hold elections to force the GBC to resign as managers and trustees of all ISKCON properties. This is the only chance to save Srila Prabhupada's legacy from total destruction. If after the prosecution and defense presentations in the court, where all the details of the GBCs' intransigence will become public knowledge, the jury finds the defendants culpable, and if they did not resign when the case first began, this arrogant attitude will influence the judge and jury to increase the penalty.

A similar thing happened in the case the Turley firm recently won against the Catholic Church. None of the church leaders who covered up the abuse resigned, and partly because of this insolence the damages were in the tens of millions of dollars for only two victims. The ISKCON case may ultimately have over 1,000 victims. The GBC resignations will save ISKCON millions of dollars and win support from the court and all right-thinking people.

Srila Prabhupada: "Yes. This was the system, that one must retire. Just like at the present moment, although people are asking the president that 'You retire, you resign,' he is not resigning, obstinate. Because he knows, 'This is the first and last chance. I am not going to be elected again. So stick to the post and take as much money as possible.' That's all." [Lecture, 12/17/73 LA]

The GBC will not resign, they will stick to their posts and take money from Srila Prabhupada as long as they possibly can. Now the consequences of their actions threaten to destroy the entire ISKCON society.

Therefore the only chance to protect Srila Prabhupada's reputation is a general rebellion by vote of the members of ISKCON against the GBC. They have frustrated Srila Prabhupada's orders by mismanagement, by changing his books, by preaching bogus philosophy, and in countless other ways. They have driven away thousands of Srila Prabhupada's disciples and they have failed to maintain his institution. Now they deserve to be impeached.

As explained by Dasanudas, the member ship of any nonprofit religious corporation has the legal right to remove its leaders because nonprofit corporations are institutions meant to serve the needs of the community.

Therefore, a constituent assembly consisting of the current members of ISKCON (past and present Srila Prabhupada's disciples) should now come forward and do the needful, even another lawsuit if necessary, for electing a new GBC body.

There should be an organized petition presented to the GBC stating our demands for attaining the goal of an elected GBC as Srila Prabhupada outlined in his Direction of Management for the GBC.
