Who is this "Ramachandra Braithewaite"? If his father is Charuhasa das, then Charuhasa is living comfortably in Los Angeles with his new wife and new baby. I have not seen Ramachandra das in Los Angeles. There must be more to this story than what is written here. Your eternal servant, NNV das

2) POISON PROBLEM

Dear Puranjana,

please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I never said much about the poison issue, being very afraid to commit horrible offences. But I always read all the investigations and various statements and tend to believe that Prabhupada has been poisoned indeed. This is mainly because

1. some of the nurse-attendants proved themselves to be Judas incarnations and even worse 2. Srila Prabhupada Himself says that it is possible someone poisoned him 3. devotees like you seem to be convinced that Srila Prabhupada has been poisoned 4. the GBC and it's pseudo gurus as well as Gaudiya-math pseudo gurus and their foot lickers immediately went anti-poison (except NM it seems) 5. missing tapes, whispers and Tamal's statement that Prabhupada wanted him to give poison ... and there are other more subtle issues.

But there are points to consider when we look at how the "Prabhupada was not poisoned group" (and we totally ignore the fact here that the anti-poison arguments are mainly sponsored from people who make the alien monsters of horror movies appear like guileless Teddy bears) refuted the main arguments of Nityananda's book "Someone has poisoned me". The diagnosis of the CHAKRA investigator seems to be better than the one of Nityananda, who is not a doctor btw, and it seems to refute the arsenic argument (I'm no doctor too, so I can't say for sure).

[PADA: We do not think that the "arsenic argument" has been refuted necessarily. There is an indication of excess arsenic, and no "good explanation" has been given why that was present. All the GBC has done is to concoct a bogus "medical authority" and say that this level of arsenic would be normal, or not excessive. That really has not "proved" anything? And as you pointed out, Adri's and the GBC's "arsenic expert" is not even a certified "medical authority" ...or a doctor? He is just some guy who came along and said, "oh this percent of arsenic is not too bad." But he has no authority to say anything on the topic? So they have not really "refuted" that point? Balavanta apparently said that there is over 90 percent proof for the poison case, what about that percentage? We can thus say that they lied 100 percent about the credentials of their authority, who is also a disciple of Tamal? That means Adri's and the GBC's real authority is Tamal.

So, what we can say for 100 percent certain is that Adri and the GBC have lied about their percentages because they lied about the credentials of their authority? So they are liars, and this is all that they have "proven." So far at least. There are also people whispering about poison which has been forensically proven. So let us assume that they used a poison that could not even be detected, we may never find any proof for some poisons AS SRILA PRABHUPADA SAID even before 1970, and Tamal went, oh yep, arsenic, its a poison. In sum, so far no good explantion has been given why people would be discussing poison in his presence? Why would Tamal say, just after he departed, that he was asking for something to make him die? And so on and so forth....]

RK: The Reverse Speech Analysis (and theory) seems to be not at all reliable. At least the reputation of the Reverse Speech Analyst himself is destroyed, having been rejected by the Reverse Speech mastermind. So the analysis of Nityananda seems to be reduced mainly to the whispers and the very bad history (and present...) of the main suspects.

[PADA: Well, we were very disheartened to see the reverse speech analysis placed in the book, since it would discredit the book, and it has.]

RK: Plus none of the anonymous witnesses ever came forward to speak out and I never saw one of their postings to be very trustworthy. Rather on the opposite, they seem to do their best to cause confusion, and try to hinder the truth to be revealed with their anonymity and doubtful statements. Even the former gurukula-children dare to come forward now to charge the abuser mafia and their fellow-travellers, but the poison witnesses still are afraid? Maybe because their testimony is not reliable?

[PADA: Good points. Of course, we know for example of one devotee who was present in 1977, he saw Bhakti Caru crying outside of Srila Prabhupada's room saying: that Srila Prabhupada is saying he is being poisoned, and this devotee thought at that instant (November 1977) that Srila Prabhupada is being poisoned. Yet he suppressed it. So later he had all types of mental problems, nervous breakdowns, insomnia, and he has been in an out of mental homes, and he has been given all types of sedation medications. In sum, there is a lot of repression and fear out there, ummm, just like any violent cult or dictatorship?]

RK: I never read or heard anything of Nityananda prabhu or Rocana since the CHAKRA investigation became available. Do you know if one or both of them continue with the investigation?

[PADA: Good question. All they have to do is raise some funds and start a lawsuit in India, and the whole thing will explode. So what has happened we cannot say for sure. They have not conatacted us over their current progress, if there is any.]

RK: So there are a lot of indications but nothing very substantially for a court case. Even Srila Prabhupada only says that it is possible (not a fact!) that someone has poisoned him as I have to agree with Adridharana.

[PADA: He also says, same thing, I am being poisoned.]

RK: We can accept that being a pure Vaishnava Prabhupada would not lament or say things related to his body & etc. but it would only be another indirect interpretation, another indication. Something more substantial is needed, a direct statement, a witness, a proof, something like the hair analysis. Or the CHAKRA investigation has to be refuted very expertly. But I never saw such a refutation. So it is the truth? Like gold on a dirty place? Why not check out what the first investigators, Rocana and Nityananda, have to say? They deserve to be heard very carefully, whatever their conclusion may be.

3) THE SINISTER MOVEMENT

Dear Pada,

PAMHO AGTSP!

Your comments below demonstrate an insight into the ACTUAL problem surrounding Srila Prabhupada's Iskcon Movement:...that the "plot" began almost from the beginning, and reached a crisis in 1970 at which time Srila Prabhupada FORMALLY (by letter) withdrew from participation in the ISKCON movement.

In 1970, He wrote a letter which was distributed to all centers in which He stated that "I have given you Vaikuntha,and you have turned it into Hell"! He also wrote another publicly distributed letteer in which he states, "Due to certain discourtesies that have been extended to me, I have decided to withdraw from the daily activities of the Iskcon movement and retire to write books". (quote may not be exact)

In that same year,(1970) He created the BBT (Bhaktivendanta Book Trust) which SEPARATED the copyrights for His books from even the slightest control by Iskcon.(The copyrights were to be controlled by three trustees during His lifetime ...Himself, Hansadutta goswami and Bhagavan goswami). That Iskcon had illegally taken over the copyrights in the bogus BBTI (which was not a legal trust but a dba of Iskcon, which was DIRECTLY OPPOSED to Srila Prabhupada's instructions became revealed during the "BBT COURT CASE" which was settled by Hansadutta and Bhagavan stepping down from their role as lifetime trustees of the BBT to be replaced by Jayadvaita swami who's chief claim to fame is that he wantonly changes Srila Prabhupada's books in style as well as content. (In the pretext of correcting actual misprints and errors).

Jayadwaita does not even have a high school diploma, and he sees fit to correct the editing of Hayagriva das who held a Phd in English Literature, and was hand-picked by Srila Prabhupada to do the editing work! Also in 1970, Srila Prabhupada created the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT which was the means by which He meant to crush the insurrection amongst the GBC and reduce to reality what they considered to be their "absolute power". ie..the role of minor elected officials COMPLETELY ANSWERABLE TO THE TEMPLE PRESIDENTS AND CONGREGATIONS!

The Direction of Management calls for elections every three years, and by that directive, THE FIRST ELECTION WOULD HAVE BEEN HELD IN 1973. In 1973, THE OPPOSITE was proposed: ...that instead of Srila Prabhupada's direction of management being followed by holding ELECTIONS FOR GBC FROM THE BODY OF TEMPLE PRESIDENTS, that ATREYA RISHI (a high ranking accountant with the international accounting firm Arthur Anderson) was"set up" by the GBC to head their request for a CENTRALIZED ISKCON under the complete control of the GBC to be modeled after the hierarchy of the CATHOLIC CHURCH.

THIS WAS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT SRILA PRABHUPADA HAD WANTED, and it sealed the fate of all of us "clucks" who followed the GBC leaders NO MATTER WHERE THEY WENT! (SURE, we "complained" but we complained while tagging behind wherever they went!) Srila Prabhupada's response to this DIAMETRICAL DISOBEDIENCE and display of GURU APARADH was to dissolve the GBC. and to fire off angry letters to the conspirators.

IS IT SURPRISING THAT IN FOUR MORE SHORT YEARS THAT HE DIED A TORTURED HORRIBLE DEATH?

So, we must re-visit the SIGNIFICANCE of the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT in order to understand that SRILA PRABHUPADA CUT HIS TIES OF RESPONSIBILITY TO ISKCON IN 1970, not earlier and not later. Of course, he continued to ENGAGE US IN SELLING BOOKS, but that is very different to the mood that He shared with His devotees prior to 1968, and even up to 1970. There are some persons who DO NOT BELIEVE that the Directioni of Management is a "PRACTICAL" solution the the management of Iskcon. In fact, they MOCK those who feel that Srila Prabhupada was sincere in introducing it in the first place and that it can be RE-INTRODUCED BY POPULAR DEMAND at this time. Such persons REFUSE TO PUBLICIZE THE DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT, and prefer instead to attack the institution of GBC itself, rather than fight to establish a TRUE GBC. We hope that such persons will gradually become able to discern the LARGER HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DIRECTION OF MANAGMENT, and that it is KEY to the reform and purification of the ISKCON MOVEMENT!

[PADA: No one has mocked "the direction of management." What we are saying is that your idea to read "the direction of management" to the GBC is like reading "the rules for good girl scouts, bow and curtsey," to felons on death row in San Quentin? What you need for these people is not "The Direction Of Management," it is like casting pearls before the swine. You need a good criminal legal prosecution system. And that is what we have pushed for since 1980. Now that you and others did not take this call seriously, it has gone to Turley. That is the fault of all of your intransigence.]

NNV: Until that occurs, simply "backs will be bitten all over the place", and no purification of the Movement will take place.

[PADA: Until a good legal effort is made to contain the criminal element, not only will "backs be bitten" but people will continue to get banned, beat and killed, as has gone on all along. Srila Prabhupada was also banned and taken out of the picture. So you want to sit down and picnic with these guys and read them good girl scout's rules, and we say you are wasting your time. And you are, because they do not care for the good girl scout's rule, they want to ban, beat and kill because they are criminals.]

NNV: Srila Prabhupada states in the Nectar of Instruction,"This Iskcon movement has been established to facilitate the "six loving exchanges". He goes on to describe how Srila Rupa Goswami's "six loving exchanges" have made the Iskcon movement successsful up to this point. Certainly disobedience to the Spiritual Master and rejection of His direct instructions will also destroy the potential for an Iskcon movement that EXISTS SIMPLY to facilitate the "SIX LOVING EXCHANGES". That this movement has become hellish can be directly traced to that fact that the "six loving exchanges" can scarcely by found to exist at this time.

Such destruction of the "six loving exchanges" began in 1968 in a collaboration between Tamal Krishna das and Gargamuni das designed to "militarize" the rank and file of Iskcon. Until that time, devotees were gentle and philosophical, and full of the "six loving exchanges". As soon as Tamal joined, he created plans to dominate Iskcon through centralized management, and this increased up to 1970 when Gargamuni,his brother Brahmananda, Vishnujana, and Subal attempted to overthrow Srila Prabhupada and establish Brahmananda as Acharya under the direction of the "Mayapur party" of the Gaudiya Matha.

Tamal Krishna was also a "key" instigator of the "Centralized Iskcon" attempt in 1973 and it was he, (in 1976) who was blasted by Srila Prabhupada for claiming to have "absolute authority" as GBC. Of course, it was Tamal Krishna who again HAD COMPLETE CONTROL OF SRILA PRABHUPADA'S IMMEDIATE ENVIRONMENMT just prior to His leaving His body!

And later, ...Tamal sought to become NUMBER TWO to Naryayan Maharaja between 1986 and 1992 in what is obviously a SECOND attempt to gain control of ISKCON through the "death" of NUMBER ONE!. (Naryan Maharaja may thank his "lucky stars" that the GBC foiled Tamal's plan to join Iskon to the Gaudiya Matha under Naryan Maharaja! ...In a few years, Naryan Maharaja would have begun to have "mysterious symptoms" that no doctor would be able to cure! ....and then in the end ...TAMAL WOULD BE IN CHARGE!

NNV DAS: The "poison" is what necessitated Srila Prabhupada establishing the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT in 1970.

NNV das: After introducing the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT, Srila Prabhupada did not want to become implicated in the maya of the individual devotees and the machinations of the GBC. He advised everyone, "Everything that I have said is in my books" "You will read and Utilize!".

If He had remained in CONTROL of Iskcon, He would have had to witness His instructions being "thrown back in His face". Since this would have engendereed the most severe APARADH against Him, He withdrew, and let the war be waged among His disciples, where at least the offense was against each other more than directly against Him.

NNV das: By 1975, the DIRECITON OF MANAGEMENT was considered to be a "top secret" GBC document and NO ONE other than the GBC was allowed to see it. (Jayatirtha refused to let me see it in 1975, stating that it was "locked in a safe, and that I would never be able to see it" ...well, he was beheaded, and I HAVE seen it!...)

NNV das: This behavior was only possible by rejecting the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT. They would not have had the "clout" to do such things if they were under the constant scrutiny and control of the temple presidents and the congregations! Using the model of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH has produced identical results ...Inquisistions, beatings, murders, bannings, child molestations, sexually deviant "popes"...er.."gurus" as well as politically held ecclesiastic posts for the purpose of controlling large blocks of land without offering any spiritual benefit to those who reside within the blocks of land controlled. In all, ISKCON has become about HIERARCHAL POLITICAL CONTROL, and not about spreading the Holy Name of Krishna to every town and village.

Without the Direction of Managment, and the consequent reduction of the role of GBC to the status of "minor elected official", this power struggle will go on, and there will be no co-operation in the grass-roots introduction of KRISHNA'S HOLY NAME to the population at large. In fact, even in Los Angles, one need only walk one block away from that large temple to find that NO ONE IS AWARE OF WHO IS KRISHNA, what to speak of "towns and villages" even further away!

NNV das: Srila Prabhupada's formal retirement from Iskcon in 1970 "due to certain discourtesies"......) should establish that AFTER 1970, HE NEITHER HAD NOR SOUGHT CONTROL OF THE BEHAVIORS OF HIS DISCIPLES.

Upon initiation, each and every one of us took vows that would lead inivitably to absolute obedience to the instructions of the Spiritual Master. That Srila Prabhupada refused to remain in direct relationship with Iskcon in 1970, should clearly indicate to us that HE CONSIDERED THAT OUR OFFENSIVENESS HAD EXCEEDED OUR SERVICE and that such mixture of more offense to less service, when OFFERED TO HIM, would harm us more than help us on our Spiritual Path.

IF WE ARE ABLE, AT THIS POINT, TO EFFECT A REFORM OF ISKCON ...THEN WE WILL BE ABLE TO RECTIFY OUR OWN RELATIONSHIP WITH SRILA PRABHUPADA WHICH HAS BEEN DAMAGED ALMOST TO NIL BY EITHER OUR OWN OFFENSES, OR TOLERATING THE OFFENSES OF THE GBC who at all times were ACTUALLY WITHIN our control, and only have managed to assume the status of "ABSOLUTE POWER" due to our cowardice and lazy ignorance.

There is no way to measure how offensive to Srila Prabhupada's Lotus Feet we have all become, and our only hope is to PUREFY THE ISKCON MOVEMENT, and to FIGHT WITH OUR LAST BREATH to introduce the DIRECTION OF MANAGEMENT, by which future generations of ISKCON members may gradually allign themselves with Srila Prabhupada's Vani, and then begin to accomplish what we have apparently failed to accomplish which is BRINGING KRISHNA'S HOLY NAME TO EVERY TOWN AND VILLAGE OF THIS WORLD IN THE MOOD OF SRILA RUPA GOSWAMI'S SIX LOVING EXHANGES!
