1) POISON ISSUE EXAMINED
Dear PADA pamho agtSP
Here's some more Tamaldung: Srila Prabhupada had barely been interred, when Tamal's started his cover-up. In a lecture at Vrindaban, the "goswami" claimed: "A NUMBER OF TIMES HE (Srila Prabhupada) WOULD SAY: "CAN YOU GIVE ME MEDICINE, PLEASE GIVE ME MEDICINE, THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO DISAPPEAR NOW...." (unquote).
When we consider to Whom Tamal is attributing this statement; it does not hold water, being antithetical, both spiritually and characteristically. We have searched throughout Srila Prabhupadas' instructions but cannot find a single direction to euthanasia, as being a means to an end. Instead, we find His beloved Chaitanya Deva, pointing an accusing finger at the lying Tamal. Here are HIS words :- (1) "ACTS SUCH AS SUICIDE ARE INFLUENCED BY THE MODE OF IGNORANCE, AND IN IGNORANCE AND PASSION ONE CANNOT UNDERSTAND KRISNA." (CC Ch 4, tx 57). (2) "MEASURES LIKE SUICIDE ARE CAUSES FOR SIN. A DEVOTEE NEVER ACHIEVES SHELTER AT KRSNA'S LOTUS FEET BY SUCH ACTIONS. (CC. Ch 4, tx 60) (3) "LORD SRI CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU SAID, "YOUR BODY IS MY PROPERTY, YOU HAVE ALREADY SURRENDERED UNTO ME. THEREFORE YOU NO LONGER HAVE ANY CLAIM TO YOUR BODY." (CC. Ch 4, tx 76).
[PADA: Very important point. Tamal is implying that Srila Prabhupada is advocating suicide. Of course, why is it that no one else heard his alleged: "suicide request"? "Your honor, yes, the master was poisoned, and I took over his mansion and bank account, but we had to do it because he asked for it." Judge, "Well, the only question we have left then is, did you wait for his body to get cold before you sat in his chair or not"?]
SGD: So what is Tamal asking us to believe? Gauranga Deva was only joking? Srila Prabhupada didn't know about this? He was too advanced in 'senility' to know the difference? Or is Tamal lying? The latter sits more comfortably. The former being incomprehensible. So why is he lying? Let's continue:- " AND AT OTHER TIMES (SP said) " I WANT MOST NOW TO DISAPPEAR ( Tamals' uses the euphemism 'disappear' instead of the offensive: '(be) euthanised ), I WANT TO DIE PEACEFULLY ( Who was disturbing the peace? how? and why?), LET ME DIE PEACEFULLY." (What did Srila Prabhupada mean by this? Why did He say it in Tamal's presence. Had Tamal had enough of Srila Prabhupada; who had "fu.... up again" ? Was he trying to get rid of the "senile old man" who was "always in the way"? Let's delve a little further.
Tamal continues: "NOW ON ONE HAND WE COULD TAKE IT....( Take what? Srila Prabhupadas' "permission" to kill Him?) ..GIVE HIM THAT MEDICINE ( He means...POISON!!!) ...OR LET HIM STOP EATING ...TO DEATH (' to death' sounds like condemnation, so he rectifies it) ...UNTIL DEATH (But Jaya Gauranga reported that Tamal had stopped devotees from bringing food to SP earlier ...it was too obvious.. that's why it didn't work) WE COULD HAVE DONE THAT." (unquote). Done what!!? Kill Him!!? YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO KILL ANYONE!!! ESPECIALLY OUR ACARYA DEVA!!! This is why we are here now. "Could" is the seed word. When we examine the word grammatically, it stands defined as the past-tense of "Can" which (according to the Collins English dictionary) has two meanings (1) able (2) allowed.
So, in Tamals' own words; he was both 'able' and 'allowed' to kill Srila Prabhupada.
In the final analysis, all we needs do, is remove the word "could" from
the last phrase, and we have our answer to the question: DID YOU POISON SRILA
PRABHUPADA?
Dandavats & pranams SGd
PS Even though there has been only two responses to our plea for support, one is an anonymous benefactor, who will pay our air-passage. The other is a wicked old friend who would fight me on the streets when we were boys. Now he is a media-baron in Delhi. So we are being pushed to adopt plan B, which leans towards the media, and is not so financially demanding. If only the initial investigators would forward copies of correspondence with forensic companies, or any information they may deem helpful to the investigation, it would prove priceless. Kindly contact me at innervision@hypermax.net.au or maindhi@hypermax.net.au For those devotees who would like to help but are unable, just chant intensely. We WILL not only clear His name but have Him exalted. Srila Prabhupada ki jaya!!!
[PADA: Tamal obviously could not believe his luck in covering up things like this. He thought that at least someone might ask about the poison issue, and so he was preparing a defense (as above). He had to devise a logical explanation as to why they had to administer poison to Srila Prabhupada. He must have been shocked to see that this issue never even evolved, i.e. he had successfully pulled a curtain over this issue. So another big cover-up here is that these statements were not ever published until 1999, and never would been at all, except for the good efforts of Isa dasa who by some good fortune had some of these tapes.
Tamal must have also realized early on that the coast is clear, no one is asking, so he let the poison issue die out. Thus he did not need to devise a defense in earlier times. We also did not get the poison tapes until 1997, so the whole issue was buried under a mountain of smoke and mirrors cover-up. Moreover, in early 1978 many people were accepting Tamal's big lie that he had been appointed as Srila Prabhupada's successor. Tamal was very obviously covering his tracks on the poison issue, and making new tracks, that he had been appointed as the next guru. At least this is obvious to any unbiased observer.
Oddly, people like Adri say that all of this is "inconclusive." He thinks Tamal is making potentially innocent statements here? Adri thinks the whispers are maybe innocent as well, and so on. Well, we do not. Tamal says Srila Prabhupada had said: "I want most to disapper now ...I WANT TO DIE" (11/77). Now this is ..."inconclusive"? "I WANT TO DIE"? What else could this mean? It means that they wanted him to die, he was not going to do that, so they poisoned him. Then they said, it was HE who wanted to die. No, they wanted him to die, and then they turned it around: no, he wants to die (so we had to poison him). Now as for, "he wanted some medicine to make him die," well this is very clear, they are saying he wanted TO BE POISONED TO DEATH.
When we brought out the poison issue at the 1997 Rathayatra, in front of maybe 40 GBC and guru, they almost all started to LAUGH LIKE HYENAS! Now what does that say? We are holding a sign "I am being poisoned," with a picture of Srila Prabhupada, and they are LAUGHING. This is a joke? Prabhupada says he is being killed and this is a cause of joyous joking? "Yes yer honor, WE said that HE wanted to die. Then we sat in his seat. And yet now, we find out that HE is NOT saying HE wants to be poisoned, rather HE is saying HE is being killed. Isn't that is hysterically funny? Why? Too late, we stole his seat, so what"!]

2) Tamal and Hansaduttas contempt for the devotees
(From the book "Monkey On A Stick" page 243-244)
There is one word that sums up everything: Contempt, Hansadutta thought as he took another hit from the bottle of ouzo. I have contempt for the devotees who are stupid enough to do anything I tell them to do. I have contempt for the women who let me use them to collect money, and who let me use their bodies for sex. I have contempt for ISKCON. Except for Kirtanananda, they're all worms. None of them has the balls to stand up to me.
He had a very special contempt for the Governing Body Commission. It had hemmed and hawed, debated, and argued about how to respond to the matter of the guns found in Hansadutta's car. At the annual meeting in Mayapur during February and March of 1981, the GBC had finally acted. It decided to suspend him and strip him of his guruship for one year.
His Divine Grace had been outraged. How could the GBC, mere mortals, tell him, a living representative of Krishna, that for the next twelve months, he could not be a guru? He talked it over with Tamal Krishna, who was sitting out a year's suspension for claiming that he alone was Prabhupada's true successor. Tamal and Hansadutta agreed that no one had the right to take away a position Krishna had conferred through Prabhupada.
The two suspended gurus hopped a boat across the Ganges River to Navadwip, the small village where Sridhar, Prabhupada's aging god-brother, had his ashram. The old guru said exactly what Hansadutta and Tamal were hoping he would say: To remove men Prabhupada had appointed to be gurus was to question the authority of the spiritual master. Prabhupada was empowered by Krishna; how could he possibly have named the wrong people to succeed him?
Hansadutta and Tamal returned to Mayapur to proclaim that Sridhara had said they were right and the GBC was wrong. The GBC was in maya; it must correct its terrible error by immediately reinstating them both. The GBC held a meeting and capitulated. From that moment on, the eleven gurus, not the GBC, controlled ISKCON. From then on, the gurus knew that they could do anything they wanted without having to answer to any authority. Hansadutta laughed at the memory. "They're snails," he muttered as he gulped down more ouzo. "Slugs. Let's face it: any group that would put me back on the vyasasana has to be worthless."
Now he was getting down to what was really wrong. More than anything else, Hansadutta had complete and utter contempt for himself. He had started out determined to be Prabhupada's greatest devotee. And look how he had fumed out. He'd broken his vow of sannyasa; he drank and took pills. He couldn't remember the last time he had chanted. He'd blown it all. "Hansadutta," he said to himself, "you're a fraud."

3) GBC TRAIN SPOTTERS
I must admit to being quite impressed with the whole zonal acharya thing in the early days. The idea that Prabhupada had left eleven young, spiritually empowered successors appealed to my naïve brain. I was only twenty-three at the time and although I had been a devotee for six years I had no concept of chicanery or guile within Krsna Consciousness.
Prabhupada was a pure devotee and his movement was destined to take over the world. All devotees were sincere souls, who like me had given up everything - even the support of their families, to render devotional service to the lord. In my mind the zonal acharya myth made perfect sense.
Whenever a Tamal or a Bhavananda would arrive at the Manor (during the time that I was temple commander) I would roll out the red carpet and form a welcoming committee, enthusiastically chanting Jaya Vishnupada or a suitably appropriate term. Bhavananda in particular would swan in with all the charisma of a Hollywood superstar. Youd swear the Great Gatsby himself was stepping from the back seat of Jayatirthas swanky Cadillac.
We ordinary devotees, who swept floors and cooked offerings, were completely in awe of these personalities who had such personal association with Prabhupada. They had been especially chosen and we felt that Prabhupadas legacy was in very safe hands. There were no personalities like them. They were far more significant than the mundane stars that ordinary people worshipped, much more powerful than mere Prime Ministers or Presidents. They had been empowered by the Supreme Lord and the future hope of the Krsna Consciousness movement and therefore the world, rested with them. That was my worm-eye view of the situation anyway.
This prestige extended to all members of the GBC. These guys were the ultimate authority within Iskcon. To me and the thousands of other puerile individuals who formed the bulk of the society at that time, anyone who had risen to the rank of GBC could only done so by having many times more sincerity and dedication than the rest of us. They were the driving-force behind Lord Caitanyas mission and were obviously great personalities taking birth in the West for that purpose. We were really easy prey for their deceptions!
Thinking of how much in awe of these glamorous, jet-setting, danda-wielding-narco-wallas
I was - it gave me a laugh recently to discover the origin of the term GBC. It
was an abbreviation for the Governing Body Commissioners who ran the Indian Railway,
known throughout India in the days of the Raj as the GBC. Its little wonder
our GBC went off the tracks when they were so far above their station!
Also, is it mere coincidence, I wonder, that the theme to the Box-office hit Trainspotting
should be Born Slippy. Or is Krsna trying to tell us something!
