If Mr. Cool Caturbahu is so damn sure sanat/ mukunda/ puru/ gaudiya matha are 'his type of men', then we'd ask him: why not expect the same destiny as Prabhupada had, from the new wave of materially motivated and impure "devotees" as such? Does Caturbahu think his plate of prasadam could be saved from Gaudiya Matha type of 'watery looking liquids' (poison) they've been spilling over many Vaishnava's plates for almost a century? Today Caturbahu may be their ally, but tomorrow they might poison him to death as well, just as they did to Srila Prabhupada, as soon as he denied and criticized their quasi-spiritualism. Think about it, Caturbahu, before you foolishly attack real and innocent Vaishnavas like Puranjana Prabhu, out of your sheer frustration with the real cranks like those mentioned above who backup bogus Matha ideas.

[PADA: Good point, even Narayana Maharaja told the GBC's spokesman Jayadvaita, about two years ago, "No I do not want to go to your feast, you might poison me as well." So, these are real "nectar" relationships? And in 1978, Dr. OBL Kapoor said that since the GBC is offering bhogha to conditioned souls and not Srila Prabhupada, "it is not prasad but poison that will make a person very sickly." No kidding. So this whole idea, that we can imitate guru, has come from the Gaudiya Matha. And Srila Prabhupada said it was "Gaudiya Matha poison." Even Narayana Maharaja refused to talk to us for three minutes because he knows we are going to ask him, why has he been saying that these GBC deviants are "living vaishnava gurus"? And why has he been teaching "gopi lila" to these crooks, molesters, guru bhogis, guru tyagis, guru aparadhis, homosexual pedophile guru lineages, and demons who poison their guru? And why is he teaching gopi lila to folks like Satsvarupa, who then writes about his need for anal enemas for his constipation, and after glorifying his stool passing activities, on the next page of his booklet, he talks about: the gopis? Even the worst sahajiyas do not write about their passing stools activities and then: the gopis, like Narayana Maharaja's divine "guru lila" sisyas? In sum, he has no reply because there is no reply. Similarly, there is no excuse to support Puru, Narayana Maharaja's biggest cheerleader, and a guy who is also going around simultaneously saying that Kirtanananda is a nice gentleman, a nice God brother, and a person who should not be criticized so as to disturb guru tattva. And all this foolishness has been supported and even circulated by Sanat/ Mukunda. They will not reply because, just like the GBC, they are silent when they are exposed, and Srila Prabhupada says this is the sign of a rascal. thanks pd]

3) FROM VISOKA RE: Lord Jagganatha

The image of Lord Jagannatha and Lord Balarama and Lady Subhadra was REALLY ECSTATIC! Their picture brought back an old memory. It was the night before Ratha-yatra in Detroit, and I had this far-out dream, I was standing right to the side of Lord Jagannatha, fanning him, and this dream went on for a while. All three deities were standing together. This was just a few dreams I've ever had of the Lord.

Somehow I forgot the dream the next day. Then we had our Ratha-yatra festival at the temple, and I ended up fanning Lord Jagannatha, and someone took a picture of me serving the Lord. After I was fanning for a while, suddenly I remembered the dream the night before, the dream and the service I was doing at the moment were both very similar scenes, it was like I was seeing the same thing in the dream, of what I was doing awake, and so the dream was sort of prophetic. I have those kind of dreams now and then. I've had some dreams of Srila Prabhupada, a few of the Lord, many, many dreams of devotees, some of them very strange. Thanks a lot. Bg 4.10 T Transcendental Knowledge 1781/549557 Being freed from attachment, fear and anger, being fully absorbed in Me and taking refuge in Me, many, many persons in the past became purified by knowledge of Me -- and thus they all attained transcendental love for Me.

PURPORT: As described above, it is very difficult for a person who is too materially affected to understand the personal nature of the Supreme Absolute Truth. Generally, people who are attached to the bodily conception of life are so absorbed in materialism that it is almost impossible for them to understand that there is a transcendental body which is imperishable, full of knowledge and eternally blissful. In the materialistic concept, the body is perishable, full of ignorance and completely miserable. Therefore, people in general keep this same bodily idea in mind when they are informed of the personal form of the Lord. For such materialistic men, the form of the gigantic material manifestation is supreme.

Consequently they consider the Supreme to be impersonal. And because they are too materially absorbed, the conception of retaining the personality after liberation from matter frightens them. When they are informed that spiritual life is also individual and personal, they become afraid of becoming persons again, and so they naturally prefer a kind of merging into the impersonal void. Generally, they compare the living entities to the bubbles of the ocean, which merge into the ocean. That is the highest perfection of spiritual existence attainable without individual personality. This is a kind of fearful stage of life, devoid of perfect knowledge of spiritual existence. Furthermore there are many persons who cannot understand spiritual existence at all. Being embarrassed by so many theories and by contradictions of various types of philosophical speculation, they become disgusted or angry and foolishly conclude that there is no supreme cause and that everything is ultimately void. Such people are in a diseased condition of life.

Some people are too materially attached and therefore do not give attention to spiritual life, some of them want to merge into the supreme spiritual cause, and some of them disbelieve in everything, being angry at all sorts of spiritual speculation out of hopelessness. This last class of men take to the shelter of some kind of intoxication, and their affective hallucinations are sometimes accepted as spiritual vision. One has to get rid of all three stages of attachment to the material world, negligence of spiritual life, fear of a spiritual personal identity, and the conception of void that underlies the frustration of life. To get free from these three stages of the material concept of life, one has to take complete shelter of the Lord, guided by the bona fide spiritual master, and follow the disciplines and regulative principles of devotional life. The last stage of the devotional life is called bhava, or transcendental love of Godhead.

According to Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, the science of devotional service: adau sraddha tatah sadhu-sango 'tha bhajana-kriya/ tato 'nartha-nivrttih syat tato nistha rucis tatah/ athasaktis tato bhavas tatah premabhyudancati/ sadhakanam ayam premnah pradurbhave bhavet kramah/ "In the beginning one must have a preliminary desire for self-realization. This will bring one to the stage of trying to associate with persons who are spiritually elevated. In the next stage one becomes initiated by an elevated spiritual master, and under his instruction the neophyte devotee begins the process of devotional service. By execution of devotional service under the guidance of the spiritual master, one becomes free from all material attachment, attains steadiness in self-realization, and acquires a taste for hearing about the Absolute Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna.

This taste leads one further forward to attachment for Krsna consciousness, which is matured in bhava, or the preliminary stage of transcendental love of God. Real love for God is called prema, the highest perfectional stage of life." In the prema stage there is constant engagement in the transcendental loving service of the Lord. So, by the slow process of devotional service, under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master, one can attain the highest stage, being freed from all material attachment, from the fearfulness of one's individual spiritual personality, and from the frustrations resulting from void philosophy. Then one can ultimately attain to the abode of the Supreme Lord.

5) WHAT DID SRILA PRABHUPADA WANT? (Gupta dasa)

Hare Krishna Nara Narayana Viswakarma prabhu:

I read your letter to Sri Rama prabhu regarding reformation of the GBC and the Direction of Management (DOM) and applaud your insight as well as your delivery. Although I do not agree with all of your observations, the basic points you make are solid. It should be obvious that the intent of the Founder must be at the core of any effort to reform the GBC. His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is, after all, the Founder and the Acarya of ISKCON and will ever remain so.

Clearly, one of the most important principles garnered from the BBT litigation, by which the California copyright trust was revalidated at great expense to all parties concerned, was to maintain strict fidelity to the Founder/ Acarya's original plan for the legal structure of the BBT. Apparently, a resolution being entertained this month at the Mayapur meetings is to formally acknowledge the legal distinction which has always existed between the BBT and ISKCON -- a distinction Srila Prabhupada originally intended and which the California BBT litigation accomplished.

The same principle of looking to the Founder's intention should now be directly applied to the issue of reformation of the GBC, as you pointed out in your letter to Sri Rama prabhu. Those who argue inapposite to this principle should studiously consider the result of the BBT case if they intend to renew, in effect, the similarly flawed argument that Srila Prabhupada's DOM should not be the basis for reforming or constituting the GBC.

We need to ask what Srila Prabhupada wanted done, what were his intentions, what were his directives, in essence, what was his plan for his Society. Once determined, the focus should then be how best to implement the directives of the Founder rather than focus on how to craft a seemingly more efficient, more modern or more creative plan. Certainly, ISKCON would best be served in all circumstances by faithfully following the clear instructions of its Founder and Acarya.

Conversely, the tendency to make changes to Srila Prabhupada's instructions in whatever form is problematic, as anyone who has objectively witnessed ISKCON over the past two decades can attest. Those who presently express confidence in a process of electing or reforming the GBC which is substantively different than the process set out in the DOM may want to reconsider their views in this light.

Accordingly, I concur with your conclusion regarding the significance of the DOM, a document arguably as weighty as the original California trust document which established the BBT as separate and distinct from ISKCON. As to the intertwined GBC reformation issue, it follows that we should look to Srila Prabhupada's intention as regards the management of ISKCON and as memorialized in the Direction of Management, the document which he personally authored on July 28, 1970.

The problem with the GBC Reform Conference proposals is that it still aims at ignoring/minimizing Srila Prabhupada's very clear GBC management instructions (1970 Direction of Managment for the GBC) which constitutes the most severe offense of guru-aparadha (one of the 10 offenses to the holy name). Therefore their proposals are defective, misconceived, and self-defeating from start to finish being based on mental speculation.

Their misconception is even openly stated in their proposal as follows: "Our proposal is intended to preserve the integrity of the sannyasis and diksa gurus. A healthy ISKCON needs healthy sannyasis and diksa gurus who are not overburdened by duties that are not the sva-dharma of sannyasis and diksa gurus."

Therefore instead of aiming at following Srila Prabhupada's clear orders on GBC management, the GBC Reform Conference is still trying to artificially prop up a dictatorial body of disciples trying to take the position of diksa-gurus, which is none other than the same guru-aparadha power structure that has been mismanaging ISKCON since 1970. They are not willing to come to grips with Srila Prabhupada's check and balance of GBC power in his DOM against the local temple president and congregation. The unauthorized diksa-gurus and their puppet GBC do not want to give up their absolute political power and control over ISKCON members. They simply want to imitate and usurp Srila Prabhupada's authority.
