HDG tried to enlist his Godbrothers in cooperating with his preaching, but they all refused. He started his own preaching and organization, and it came out fantastically successful. He published his own books and they were distributed by the millions. He initiated by the thousands. Perhaps those of us who respect saintly devotees but cannot brook what we consider nonsense in the name of "ISKCON" should follow the same example. Band together, do our own preaching, and eventually become known as the more prominent Hare Krishna people, returning Prabhupada to his desirable status as the only guru for new devotees.

1) RE: IRM SNAFU

[PADA (had said): Well, there is the strategy of building bridges, good idea maybe, but to be honest when we reported to some karmis that Bangalore is once again working within (?) the camp of the GBC, they could not beleive that anyone would do that in a spiritual organization? They said, this is what politicians do, support other parties, perhaps even bad ones, for politics? It confuses and bewilders and looks, well, like politics and corruption? D: I say, why jump to conclusions so fast? The story is in it's embryo stage and nobody has a clear idea of what's going on. Adridharan said to Aprakrta that this story is an invention of Madhudvisa. Frankly, who, besides him has publicized it? There are many devotees that are finding that the IRM is doing an honest attempt at reinstating the authority of Srila Prabhupada. What is the rush in throwing stones? That is my point.

[PADA: There is no rush here. Rather we have been involved in this for more than 20 years. Agreed, the IRM has done some good work. No doubt. Yet they have never came out clearly on certain key issues. And when we pushed them to clarify some of these key points, they instead prevaricated, resisted, and then finally retaliated against us. And indeed, they have harassed, challenged and even tried to block our attempts to clear up certain key issues --and they even began to cite the GBC's CHAKRA site as their authority to "defeat" Prabhupada's own statements, and prop up Tamal. This really created the impression that they had all along been rowing with us, while keeping their anchor with the GBC and Tamal.

For example, for the IRM to essentially say (as they do) that Puranjana is more or less making up the poison issue is also a potential manner in which to get some of us assassinated? And this has been pointed out by some of our associates. Adri is jeapordizing more than the case, he is jeapordizing the lives of some of those of us trying to resolve it, by painting us as foolish cranks who are envious of the wunnaful GBC? And He has been doing this for years. It is not new. And due to his propaganda some of our more sensitive folks have dropped off of pada list since they are --afraid for their lives, thanks to propaganda from the IRM and Adri. The IRM is tossing boulders at us for years. Worse, in 1997 Adri told us that he was convinced that the poison case had merit? So what changed his mind? Well, he met with some of the GBC?

Meanwhile, Madhu Pandit and the Bangalore devotees have not issued any disclaimers that they are not aligned with the position of Adridharana? This has not helped us either? The fact that they have not made public disclaimers on these points since 1998, and since the newer (2001) story broke a few weeks ago, they are also not speaking up about that? This normally shows to us that there are indeed some back door meetings, bluffing, shuffling etc., in fact going on, and some types of compromises with the GBC are indeed going on. Otherwise, why have they taken the trouble to attack us, and the main pillar issues, such as the poison issue and the molester issue? Indeed, they are the best situated people on the planet to launch a poison case, and/or molester case, and so on, but they fail to do that?

So this seems compromised to a lot of us. Yet you are right, we can wait for them to make a better clarification, but the real question here is: why the prevarication and secrecy in the first place? Srila Prabhupada hated it when the GBC would, as he said "plot and scheme," and "not inform the devotees." These tendencies do not look well, and to a karmi we spoke with recently, he said this all looks like cabal political secrecy, the whole problem we have had with the GBC all along.]

D: The way I understand it is that many of us simply do lip service and there are certainly good reasons for that: family affairs = implicating job responsibilities so on and so forth. While other devotees, are still very much implicated in preaching activities in spite of family responsibilities. But we have to recognize the fact that anyone who are trying to bring about some positive change, this way or that way, deserve some respect, don't they? Even if we feel that things should happen differently, no one but the Supreme Lord is in control and we have to exert some kind of tolerance towards all actors.

[PADA: Well, everyone is preaching, our only question is, what are they preaching? And if they are afraid to tell us what they are preaching, then what is that, a secret society? No. A brahmana must be free so that he can preach. Agreed. And that is why he does not compromise in some secret political cabal meetings, rather he simply speaks the truth and thus he is trusted by all, not just the cabal leaders?]

D: My humble feeling is that an important change will happen when many of us will finally be able to get fully engaged, at retirement. With many more people on the battelfield, the reform will definitely come about. We therefore have to stay in a cooperative spirit or encourage everyone to develop that state of being in order to please our spiritual master. That is why, I feel estranged by remarks in Ganapati's style. I do not want to throw a stone either, and that is why I mentioned that he has right to his opinion but he cannot speak on behalf of all the prabhupadanugas since we do not all agree with such feelings of animosity.

We also want to work with others, but we do not want to compromise with wrong headed notions either, especially since these wrong ideas can get people banned, beaten, molested and killed, as we have seen. Apart from that, we long ago debunked the IRM/CHAKRA poison theories, for example that they have a bona fide forensics audio techicican? Indeed, their "technician" has gone out of the audio recording business and apparently he never did one stitch of bona fide criminal forensics work for anyone else? Rather he merely made some rock and roll recordings for some unknown bands? And the IRM never replied after we totally smashed their program to align with CHAKRA and forward their false "forensic authorities"? In sum, they lied. And now they never explain, apologize or even discuss anything? They are rather like the Mukunda/ Sanat types who have aligned with Kirtanananda, Puru and their the Gaudiya Matha pals, but then they too never explained, why? Perhaps this is because there is no explanation for these types of compromises? "You say you are for the 'friends of black freedom' festival, but why then are you going to the Aryan brotherhood's KKK meeetings"? Ummm, no comment? ys pd]

2) MORE FINALITY OF THE ORDERS

Everyone is familiar with the May 28, 1977 discussion between Srila Prabhupada and the GBC committee. Although we refer to this conversation for direction on how Srila Prabhupada wanted initiations to be performed, we sometimes forget that in that same discussion, the term of office of GBC members was also discussed. In fact, it was the first point raised in the discussion:

May 28th, 1977 Vrindavan, India

Satsvarupa: So our first question is about the GBC members. We want to know how long should they remain in office?
Srila Prabhupada: They should remain for good.
Tamal Krishna: They should remain for good.
Srila Prabhupada: Selected men are chosen so they cannot be changed. Rather if some competent man comes, he should be added. I shall recommend that Vasudeva become one of the GBC.
Tamal Krishna: Vasudeva is Deoji Punja. He is founder of our.... He's building the temple in Fiji.
Srila Prabhupada: How many GBC's are there already?
Tamal Krishna: Twenty-three.
Srila Prabhupada: So add him. GBC is not to be changed.
Satsvarupa: But then in the event that some present GBC member leaves, either leaves....
Srila Prabhupada: Another should be elected.
Satsvarupa: By the votes of the present GBC.

...Srila Prabhupada never followed the 1970 Directions of Management concerning how GBC men were to be selected. To the contrary, in his final instructions to the GBC, which he wanted followed after his physical departure, he said the GBC men should remain for good. "GBC is not to be changed." He also entrusted the existing GBC men with the duty of selecting others to serve on the GBC if they were found to be qualified.

In the course of their discussion, Srila Prabhupada could have referred to the Directions of Management, but he did not. Instead, overruling what was stated in the Directions of Management, he said that a GBC man should remain in his position until he leaves or is found to be deviating. However, Srila Prabhupada did not say on that occasion what should done in the event that the entire GBC was found to be deviating, which is the present situation. It is only because of the total incompetence of the current members of the GBC that the provisions of the Directions of Management may now be considered as a useful guideline for finding replacements.

There were instances when Srila Prabhupada himself would refer to the Directions of Management, particularly when a member of the GBC would overstep his authority by removing a temple president. In such cases, His Divine Grace would say that this action was prohibited by the Directions of Management. The DOM was therefore not totally disregarded but was used to reinforce what Srila Prabhupada considered rules of good management.

3) ARCHEOLOGICAL DIGGING

Dear Puranjana prabhu,

Hare Krsna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. PAMFO I hope all is well. One of our Godbrothers wrote this reply to me to the comments I made concerning Viprapukya's story of his pastimes. I thought you might possibly want to put it up. (It just shows the mentality of these guys in charge of ITSGON. Or if one calls it ISKCON, these letters NOW stand for the INvisible Society for Krsna Consciousness, or the International Society for Krsna Conning). I am still amazed at such an idiotic mentality expressed by Viprapukeya. And worse, that so many of these guys on the "top" have.

I might add: When I saw a Rathayatra magazine from the Bombay 2000 Rathayatra, (which I did not attend) I was ABHORRED. On the front outside cover page - if I remember correctly - was a picture of the Rath. (No problem.) The NEXT, inside cover page, contained a full page photo of Gopuke (Gopal Krsna). And right NEXT to his picture on the next page, was a picture of Lord Balaram. (Says something? The (REAL) Spiritual Master is the representative of Lord Balaram, Lord Nityananda.)

Then - THIS is the clincher!!! - On the LAST OUTSIDE cover page, THERE was a picture of our Father, His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada. RIGHT on the LAST page. The OUTSIDE cover page. Which means, that anyone who had gotten the magazine, IF they were to put it on the ground, Srila Prabhupada's picture would be put on the ground. WHAT disciple would put his OWN picture FIRST before that of his Guru Maharaj? NO disciple. But that is what Gopuke did. I was incensed when I saw the magazine, (and still am incensed). If and when I see Gopuke, you can be SURE that I am going to say something to him.

Hey, what to speak of this: Gopuke "chants" his jibber (japa?) with his beadbag (right hand holding the bead bag) in back of his butt, and sipping on a soda with his left hand. (Full attention to the Holy Names.) And have you ever heard his rendition (utterance) of the Holy Names in his jibber of Them?

Amazing that Krsna is still letting these guys stay in the buildings. (They have gotten rid of most of Srila Prabhupada's sincere followers.) Then again, when so many people exit a building, the rats stay inside.

I was glad to hear from you after such a long dry spell. I read your letter about the Salagram silas and agree that the author has written from the perspective of a total neophyte. There is no hint of devotion of any kind in his story. It sounds more like an archaelogical dig than a search for the Personality of Godhead. A few months ago, I noticed on the Chakra website that they were giving short news briefs about current affairs. That feature was also devoid of any preaching of Krishna consciousness. If the Chakra staff had real enthusiasm to preach, they could use these articles to inject Krishna consciousness. They could even realize Srila Prabhupada's dream to have a daily newspaper distributed worldwide explaining the Krishna conscious viewpoint of world events. Actually, there is little if anything to be gained from observing and analyzing the activities of a bewildered person. Better to emulate and study the activities of the exalted people. Hoping this finds you well, I look forward to hearing from you again.

Dear Paranjan PAMHO all glories to Srila Prabhupada.
If I did read this as an entry on your site I must have overlooked it. I will print the whole page while enlarging the area I see as very interesting. Everyone can descide for themselves how it impacts the arguement that Srila Prabhupada never appointed anyone Acharya. This is from the 1976 edition, someone could compare with the newest editions and check for any differences......

Therefore, O King, you should look to the Supreme Lord only, who is one without a second and who manifests Himself by different energies and is both within and without.

PURPORT
The Supreme Lord Personality of Godhead is one without a second, but He manifests Himself by different energies because He is by nature blissfull. The living beings are also manifestations of His marginal energy, qualitatively one with the Lord, and there are inumerable living beings both within and without the external and internal energies of the Lord. Since the spiritual world is a manifestation of the Lords internal energy, the living beings within the internal potency are qualitatively one with the Lord, the living being, due to contamination of the material world, is pervertedly manifested, and therefore he experiences so-called happiness and distress in the material world.

Such experiences are all ephemeral and do not affect the spirit soul. The perception of such ephemeral happiness and distress is due only to the forgetfulness of his qualities, which are equal to the Lord's. There is, however,a regulat current from the Lord Himself, from within and without, by which to rectify the fallen condition of the living being. From within He connects the desiring living beings as localised Paramatma, and from without He corrects by His manifestations, the spiritual master and the revealed scriptures.

One should look unto the Lord; one should not be disturbed bt the so-called manifestations of happiness and distress, but he should TRY TO COOPERATE WITH THE LORD IN HIS OUTWARD ACTIVITIES FOR CORRECTING THE FALLEN SOULS. BY "HIS" ORDER ONLY ONE SHOULD BECOME A SPITITUAL MASTER AND COOPERATE WITH THE LORD.

ONE SHOULD NOT BECOME A SPIRITUAL MASTER FOR ONES PERSONAL BENEFIT, FOR SOME MATERIAL GAIN OR AS AN AVE FOR BUSSINESS OR OCCUPATION FOR EARNING LIVELIHOOD. BONA FIDE SPIRITUAL MASTERS WHO LOOK UNTO THE SUPREME LORD TO COOPERATE WITH HIM ARE ACTUALLY QUALITATIVELY ONE WITH THE LORD, AND THE FORGETFULL ONE ARE PERVERTED REFLECTIONS ONLY.

Yudhistira Maharaja is advised by Narada, therefore, not to be disturbed by the affairs of so called happiness and distress, but to look only unto the Lord to execute the mission for which the Lord has descended. That was his prime duty.
