Dear pada, It is well-known that Hridayananda will be at the Los Angeles Prabhupada
festival on Memorial Day weekend. What do you know about Virabahu???
[PADA: Birds of a feather...]

2) dear pada;
Hare Krsna. Whenever I come across the information you forward to our email address I scan it over, and read the stuff that's new and not too long and drawn out. Living self imposed exile from 'devotees', ***** and I have one another for association, and pada and vnn, (safe, 'long distant' association.) The other day ***** mentioned how impressed, (maybe even amazed), he is that you still manage to find time to expose the bogus deviants who wear the garb of devotees. Thanks for being such a die hard devotee! sincerely ***** d.d.
[PADA: Thanks! Oddly, we had a job for one year at the same building where Bruce Willis' "Die Hard 2" movie was filmed. He just never gave up....]

3) RE: RAVINDRA
PADA, PAMHO. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Regarding Mr. Rabindra:
1.The Child Protection Committee workers are always at loggerheads with Rabindra because he trys to bury their investigations and over turn their convictions of pedophiles.
[PADA: And so did Prithu and Bir Krishna when Dhanurdara's child beating tendencies were pointed out to them BY THE VICTIMS. We indeed eye-witnessed this travesty ourselves in Los Angeles....]
2.The so-called reforms of the 80's were worked out ahead of time between Rabindra & Tamal at Dallas before the New Vrndavana meetings.
[PADA: Yep, Ravindra is always defending Tamal because Tamal gave him a guru certificate "pay off."]
3.His treatment of a crippled mother who dedicated her life to the service
of the Deities was so rude and inconsiderate (including stealing her personal
belongings) her son says: "No way this guy is a devotee."

4) WHAT IS WRONG?
Dear Puranjana Prabhu, paoho, agt Srila Prabhupada! After all your crystal-clear points, facts and strongest arguments possible, that you're sharing with devotees for almost a quarter of the century, some people with tilaka on their nose are still - missing the point - about what's good / what's wrong, or what's devotional / non-devotional.
[PADA: This is a symptom of the modes of ignorance, says Bhagavad Gita.]
Damn, we are wondering what it takes for kali-yuga brains to understand the difference between religion and irreligion? A 3rd world-war??? So far is a wrecking experience talking to post '77 Iskcon congregation: most of them won't hear the truth, and mostly they won't understand, due to impurities and power-aspirations. Talking to them gives less results than talking to the rocks...
[PADA: Many of "the devotees" are apparently in denial. Actually, mostly they know that there are serious problems but many cannot face them. Unfortunately "not facing these issues" makes the impression that "the devotees" are actively supporting these deviations, or that they do not know what is good or evil, or that they simply have their heads in the sand, and in any case, not a good impression.]
Otherwise, Adri deserves some credit for defending his temple against Jayapatka's thug-attack from Mayapur. The next step for him is to get rid of all the childish diplomacy, and start talking about the root-cause of all problems in Iskcon, ie, unatural departure of Srila Prabhupada that Adri was personally witness of. Also, Iskcon kids should immediately and profusely join Mr. Turley's case, and bring in the new account of Prabhupada's untimely departure, and give all the reasons for it, and the rest of the Iskcon blunderous chronicle will become self-explicatory in the court of law.
[PADA: Exactly. If we had all conjointly pointed to the poison issue it would have explained away all the other deviations, such as the molester issue. Oddly, as soon as we forwarded the poison issue, folks like Adri immediately attacked Srila Prabhupada's complaint and he defended ---the GBC view? Meanwhile, folks like the Sanat/ Mukunda/ Naranarayana sector began citing in their "brilliant" newsletters: Mr. Puru, that we "should not criticize" their nice homosexual pedophile gurus, like worshipped as maha-bhogha-what: Kirtanananda? And that we should instead --harass, villify, attack, and indeed "get Kali's chopper to chop up into pieces and feed to the dogs" the children victims of the GBC? Read: let us start "be nice to Kirtanananda week" and meanwhile kill ISKCON's second generation of children. Nice, eh what? These people apparently do not want to sincerely help either Srila Prabhupada's image, or the GBC's victims, or anything else? And on top of that, Puru is the biggest cheerleader for the Narayana Maharaja camp....]
The cheekiest thing Tamal ever did beside removing Prabhupada by force was
that he arranged for Bhavananda to be ad to the list of the original 10 GBCs?
Correct us if we are wrong, this part of history is still a bit mushy, best regards,
ys, Ganapati & Prabhupadanugas
[PADA: Correct. Tamal had a "private meeting" (?) with Srila Prabhupada where Hansadutta and Bhavananda were apparently added to the list of eleven. The tape of this meeting is still missing....]

5) LOCANANANDA WRITES
We had a nice Harinam program this evening at Astor Place, a few blocks from Tompkins Square park. Besides myself, there was Brahmabhuta Prabhu, Bhaktavatara Prabhu and Mother Vani. We chanted for about an hour and a half and then discussed the future of the Krishna consciousness movement amongst ourselves, trying to determine what would be the signs that it was being spread successfully.
These were some of the points that were made:
1) Srila Prabhupada said he would be happy when Back to Godhead magazine was being distributed not by the hundreds of thousands, but by the millions.
2) Srila Prabhupada said that in major cities there could be ten sankirtana parties going out simultaneously.
3) Srila Prabhupada said he would be successful when everyone was chanting Hare Krishna.
4) Srila Prabhupada wanted courses in Krishna consciousness taught in all of the colleges and universities.
5) Our movement would be considered a success when the high court judge was wearing tilaka.
6) There would one day be a temple of Krishna in every town and village in the world.
7) There would be many varnasrama-oriented communities where devotees would demonstrate the principles of plain living and high thinking.
8) Devotees would join by the thousands after receiving Srila Prabhupada's books.
9) Devotees who had been practicing Krishna consciousness for forty years would become addicted to hearing and chanting the glories of the Lord.
10) The children of the first generation of devotees and their children would take charge, and their preaching would take the movement to greater and greater heights.
We discussed these points and many other things, and we concluded that we cannot move in that direction as long as there is discord and disharmony within our society. As long as a violent mood of controversy and politics prevails, the Hare Krishna movement cannot serve as a vehicle to attract conditioned souls to the lotus feet of the Lord. In other words, as a group, we cannot significantly help accomplish the mission of our spiritual master without resolving the issues that have created a schism within Iskcon.
The most divisive issue will continue to be the issue of initiations and guruship. If the leaders of Iskcon cannot accept that initiators are acting on behalf of Srila Prabhupada and that only he is to be worshipped, they should be publicly accused of holding back the flood of love of God that our movement is meant to deliver to the world by being falsely attached to a concocted scheme of guru worship never authorized by Srila Prabhupada. If they would simply place their faith in Srila Prabhupada's actual instructions rather than in their own experimental adjustments to the absolute truth, we could all move on to the real work of spreading Krishna consciousness.
If you can think of any other signs that would indicate the success of the Hare Krishna movement, please submit them here so that I can pass them along to our Harinam party on Saturday night.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Your servant, Locanananda dasa

6) An Eyewitness Description of Hell
Dear Prabhus, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Here's a (former) atheistic college professor with a Christian upbringing who literally went to hell and back! His descriptions of what happened to him sound like they are right out of the 5th Canto! This amazing experience completely changed his life. He went from being a college professor to being a minister! He even said that after he was rescued from hell, one of the "angels" told him that all of God's creatures are equally important, so God wasn't going to allow man to destroy the whole planet.
For a summary of his experience read: http://near-death.com/storm.html
To hear what he said on the Art Bell radio show, go to http://www.artbell.com/topics.html and click the button above "Guest: Rev Howard Storm" ("5/3/01 - Thu/Fri"). Fast forward to about 1 hour into the 5 hour broadcast. He is on for about 2 hours.
His book is at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1902636163/coasttocoastam/102-4159331-5000956
For more "Near Death Experiences" sorted by religious background see: http://near-death.com/
Particularly interesting is "Hindu near-death experiences" (http://near-death.com/hindu.html). There you will even find a BBT painting.
On another subject, I found a very interesting article from Germany (http://www.fphschmidt.de/bs/VNN.htm). The article seems to be a research project involving what has been said in VNN.ORG articles about Lord Jesus Christ. The author has obviously put a lot of time and effort into this project. It's also obvious that he considers what Srila Prabhupada has said about Jesus and what Srila Prabhupada has to say about those who purport to be Jesus' followers as being very significant and very important.

7) Hare Krishna Tarun Krishna Prabhu,
A few more words...
In order to authorize disciples to accept their own disciples in ISKCON in 1977, Srila Prabhupada would have to have named these indivudual(s) and stated when (time) they would be able to do so, because by strict vaisnava etiquette disciples do not accept their own disciples before their own spiritual master.
In the July 9, 1977 worldwide final order on future initiations in ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada named 11 individuals to act as his "ritvik representatives of the acarya" initiating new disciples on his behalf "henceforward".
So individuals were named, how they would initiate, and when.
I sense that ISKCON in the near future will allow officiating acarya temples in ISKCON along with the present system. There is no reason why this cannot be accept for major offenses to the founder acarya.
