By 1977 they had everything in place and upon the passing of Srila Prabhupada, in a grand scheme that was more like a "coup" led by a handful of men, they placed eleven men as all powerful "Zonal Gurus", in control of the whole movement. (There is a wealth of evidence suggesting that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned with arsenic, see info at end of this article.) The society as a whole was generating hundreds of millions of dollars a year at this time.

Over the next two years, by one cause or another, ninety-five percent of Srila Prabhupad"s initiated disciples left the movement. Some were simply kicked out, many were alienated, some, including this author, were brutally beaten, and others left in disgust due to the totalitarian policies implemented by this new regime.

Together, including the "fringe" members, about ten thousand followers left during a two year period. Now if ninety-five percent of an organization leave, what does that tell you about such an organization? These were not casual members of a "club", these were individuals who had given their lives' 24-7 in service to their adopted religion for around ten years. Most of these devotees were living as celibate monks or nuns, and almost none of them had any possessions or profession outside of the religion. Now they found themselves scattered, thrown into a workaday world where they were denied spiritual support, while exposed to many modern-day vices.

Depending on which country they were a resident of, the new devotees had to take initiation by one of these eleven gurus. This is totally bogus as acceptance of a guru is a personal choice and cannot be dictated by one's geographical location. They also organized a kind of boot camp to indoctrinate these new devotees into their "Zonal Guru" philosophy. Before he had passed away, Srila Prabhupada had signed a letter authorising these eleven men to be Ritvik Representatives of the Acharya.

This letter is known as "The Final Order", (see info at end). What this means is that these men were authorized to initiate "on his behalf", similar to what a Christian priest"s function is within the church when he baptizes in the name of Jesus. This is a most important point.

The Vedic scriptures teach that the ancient system of Guru-disciple relationship depends on the qualifications of both the Master and the disciple. There are a number of different levels of Guru--the first being the "Vartmika Pradarshika Guru", or the person who first introduces you to knowledge of Krishna. The next level of Guru is the "Siksha Guru", or instructing teacher. (Guru means literally - Heavy Teacher). A siksa guru will teach those who approach with a submissive, respectful attitude. Neither of these two kinds of guru have any karmic responsibility regarding the aspirant.

The final or highest level of guru described is "Diksha Guru", or initiating spiritual master . The diksa guru, upon initiation, takes all past karma from that disciple, clearing the path for the disciple to progress with a clean slate. It is the duty of the disciple to then remain "clean".

In order to take the position of a diksa guru, one has to be on the highest level of spiritual realization, known as uttama adhikary, or one who is seeing God face to face at every moment. The Vedas also teach that whether one takes birth as an empowered human, or whether one achieves complete realization of God in this lifetime, both are very rare, and both given complete respect. If one who is unqualified takes disciples, the result is that at the time of death, the sins of that disciple take the so-called guru to hell, and all of his followers go with him.

Knowing that none of his disciples were on that absolute level, Srila Prabhupada had named these men as "Ritviks" or officiating priests, giving them the responsibility to decide who was qualified to be initiated as HIS disciple, and then perform the ceremony. Instead they elected themselves as fully-realized souls, and initiated the new aspirants as "THEIR OWN" disciples.

The situation is comparable to a Christian minister announcing on Sunday morning that from that day on, that he, not Jesus, was responsible for forgiveness of sins, and that the collection goes into their personal bank account. How many of the congregation would stay in such a church? Similarly ninety-five percent of us left or were thrown out, and for the last twenty odd years these charletans have had complete control of our spiritual masters organization.

Well why didn"t any of you stand up to these men?, you may ask, and rightfully so. Well in order to change things, one would have to be supported by the GBC, and most of the GBC were either gurus or in cahoots with the gurus. Also there was the fear of retaliation. Some of the men who had tried to stand up to these men were murdered, and one of the "gurus" is currently in jail implicated for that very crime. I personally decided to lay low after being beaten by one of their thugs in an ashram. He beat me up so badly that I couldn"t stand up for three days.

In 1986, nine years after the Zonal Guru System was initiated, a small group of devotees who were struggling to maintain some sense of sanity from within the society finally got the GBC to review this bogus system at their yearly meeting. In a slight-of-hand political move, the GBC said that, yes, the Zonal Guru System was wrong, and instead everyone should be able to become an initiating guru. Then they proceeded by two-thirds vote to create over a hundred gurus within the society. This was nothing more than pay-back for all the butt-kissers and brown-noser"s, (depending on their level of depth perception), who had helped these eleven maintain their control within the movement. Now can anyone tell me how someone can be "voted in" as being fully self-realized?

Today, of the eleven initial gurus, only three remain in the society. One of the original eleven was having sex with one of his female disciples and started to hold LSD parties. He was stabbed to death and beheaded by one of his own disciples, (he used a kitchen knife, in the street, in broad daylight). A second left with a sixteen year old girl who was supposed to be "under his care". A third shot out a car dealership and Ledger's liquor store, with people inside, with four guns, firing out the top of his Toyota land rover on a drive-by. When arraigned in court he was fined two million dollars in damages that he paid in cash on the spot. He was also having sex with "one or many" young female disciple.

A fourth was having sex with his young female disciple and busted in a scheme involving a drug lab. A fifth was retaining a "health therapist" at three thousand dollars a day, who turned out to be nothing more than a high priced whore. His top manager was a leader in the Russian Mafia and upon leaving, he stole millions of dollars and then blackmailed the society for millions more, threatening to provide information to the authorities that would, "put all the leaders of ISKCON behind bars for the next twenty years". (Can you say - "Holy Crap!"). They paid him off. A sixth was busted for racketeering and murder and is doing hard time, and the seventh, one of the original authors of the coup, gave up being a guru after he had a constant terrible ringing in his head.

Number eight was a man known as Bhavananda Swami, (bhava - pure love of God, ananda - bliss, swami - one who has total control over his senses including the mind), known as "butthole - ananda" by many older disciples, used to be one of Andy Warhole"s Chelsea Girls. He was a known homosexual/pedophile who was removed from his post due to indiscretions, (he was documented giving a taxi driver oral sex, and having a young boy in the cowsheds). He was reinstated as a guru in this 1986 debacle, and given absolute control of the two holiest temples of the religion (which are in India), and the schools attached to them. He proceeded to surround himself with a clique of homosexuals whom he made teachers in these schools. These teachers would pass young boys around, sexually, mentally and physically abusing them daily. A number of these young boys had to have anal reconstructive surgery due to the amount of abuse they suffered.

In fact, under the care of these Zonal Gurus, two thirds of all the children in the ISKCON schools worldwide, were sexually molested. There is presently a class action law suit being pursued by attorney firm of Windle Turley in Dallas, with allegedly over two hundred of these abused children considering the case or participating. It is a worldwide lawsuit in the billions of dollars, and will reduce ISKCON to a pile of rubble on the sidewalk. This will not harm the top dogs in the society, however, who have squirreled away many millions of dollars into private bank accounts and offshore corporations.

Out of the three remaining, one lives in a mansion in Beverley Hills and only comes to the Los Angeles temple to collect his money. The second has many poor Indian disciples that act as thugs to do his bidding, and the third had an operation in China so that he could no longer get an erection! (Some crazy way to stay celibate!) The society has been reduced to only a handful of members in many temples around the world. In Europe at present, the GBC is consolidating temples, then selling the buildings and fighting over who gets the money. The truth is that all of the money that has been collected over the last twenty-odd years belongs to Srila Prabhupada for the printing of his books, and maintaining and development of temples. These leaders have been stealing from their guru this whole time, and instead of expanding the society, are dividing it up and selling it off.

In order to keep temples open, now that all the western disciples have disassociated themselves, the authorities have been importing devotees from around the world into the U.S. on the promise of getting a green card after a few years of service. These imported devotees, who are mostly from India, Eastern Europe or Russia, predictably leave IS_CON as soon as they get their legal papers.

Another important point is that after the passing of Srila Prabhupada, there has been a massive re-writing of the books. The Bhagavad Gita alone has had over five hundred changes made to it. These are not just grammatical corrections, but complete rewrites where meanings of verses have been drastically altered, in many instances to support their bogus guru regime. Can you imagine Shakespear"s students re-writing his works after his departure? This is a spiritual crime of major proportions.

So what is the current state of affairs, and how are we former members dealing with this situation? Interestingly enough, it was the evolution of the Internet that changed everything. As more and more devotees around the world began to get on-line and old friends started to connect, we were able to gain strength. Thank"s to the outspoken criticism of a handful of determined devotees, many devotees who had basically lost touch, if not faith, were educated as to the horrors that had taken place since they left.

These sincere devotees have now formed the IRM, the ISKCON Revival Movement, and are opening separate temples and preaching, based on the way it was before the GBC and gurus took control. There is a law suit pending in Calcutta to remove all the gurus and GBC from ISKCON, based on their failure to implement His Divine Grace"s final order: the establishing of Ritvik priests instead of diksa gurus within ISKCON. Interestingly enough, the man that IS_CON have put in charge of their defense is a known pedophile who is one of the offenders listed in the class action lawsuit being filed in the United States! When this lawsuit in India is concluded, there will be follow-up lawsuits filed in the U.S. and Europe - stay tuned.

Krishna Consciousness is beautiful, moral and beneficial, and many millions worldwide find daily benefit from chanting, yet hate IS_CON. As far as the men in charge of IS_CON, all I can say is that it takes real genius to take the most beautiful thing - Love of God - Krishna - and make it a most hated thing!

We want the readers to know that we stand for beauty and love, and want all of these demoniac leaders prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for all of their abuses. The current movement should not be known in the future as representing our Spiritual Master, it is Bizarro-IS_CON not ISKCON.
